YEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes.
Doesn’t he answer his own question here? Parts of states cannot secede unless both the state and Feds agree to it, which has only happened under CW conditions (West Virginia)
“Is the US splitting apart?”
Duh!
California is NOT red on the local level....at least not in its big cities and metro areas wher about 90% of the people reside.

BTW I don't get this take on 187. The measure passed with 2/3 of the vote & was thrown out by a single corrupt judge.
WHAT?
With The Great Uniter at the helm? Perish the thought.
Why not have states split?
It’s happened before (Maine + W. Virginia), and there is nothing saying we have to have 50. We had far fewer in the past.
Most of these are states created out of territories, not (for the most part) former nations with centuries of history. Big whoop if California shrinks.
Producers vs takers ***AND*** their enablers.
Every state is now a border state. Immigration, legal and illegal, is changing the electoral map in this country. Unless we reduce legal immigration and stop illegal immigration, the entire country will look like CA.
May be.

Well we do know one thing - CA voters do NOT respect moderate republicans, which is all they've had to vote for on that side of the ballot since 84.
I'm thinking a principled alternative to liberal policies might not do too badly here.
Nonsense. That was the last chance to save California, and one judge put the stop to it.
And unless this leader interns those who he dislikes...he is going to have trouble preventing the split.
I’m beginning to wonder how far we really are from an armed insurrection. There are times I feel angry enough to participate in one, and I know I can’t be alone, but reason prevails and I try to bide my time in the hopes the pendulum begins to swing the other way.
With the warrantless collection of citizens’ electronic communication, gun and ammo restrictions, and paperless economy, it’s almost like the feds have been planning for a rebellion a lot longer than anyone else may have.
Nothing would make me happier.
I see this as a good thing. Americans are pushing back against governmental overrreach at all levels.
