One photographer has captured her pregnant friends - and complete strangers - asleep in their homes for 'Waiting', a project exploring growing families. 'A couple of years ago, I suddenly noticed that almost all my friends were about to become mothers and father,' says Jana Romanova, 29, from St Petersburg, Russia. 'I wasn't really ready for this unexpected change in my life, because I couldn't imagine it without spontaneous travels and night talks about our amazing future,' she explains. Jana decided documenting the process might help her make sense of it.

I suspect, not half as creepy as documenting the bed habits of the Democrats.
That would be more sick than creepy
The kiddos will also be blessed with both mother and father.
Post of the thread. Spot-on analysis, Dilbert.
It’s Russia. They got rid of their Kings & Queens in 1917. *rimshot*
Being Russia, the apartments/homes are typically much smaller so I think the messiness of the rooms and smallness of the beds are due to no space.
“In August, the birth rate in Russia reached the highest monthly level since the demographic programme started to be implemented, Minister of Labour and Social Security Maxim Topilin said.”
Too bad it has to have a “programme” to accomplish it. Although I read where after Gorbachev their were large leaps in alcoholism reform, so I suppose that may play a part as well.
I think Obamacare just got an idea for a new intitiative........

I’m 5’18” (6’6” for those in rio linda)
yuck
And the point is?
My husband would probably refuse to sleep in a bed with most of those sheet patterns. What about just plain single tone or tone on tone sheets or a simple stripe?
In two hundred years there won't be enough people speaking German to maintain the German language.
What was once the most natural thing in the world - young people falling in love and having children - is now an oddity. That's the story of the pictures...
And yeah, the pictures aren't 'artistic'... in the classic sense.
You make very good points. New life is to be celebrated. Blessings to them all.
I’m with you. What is there to make sense of, and how do pictures of sleeping people help her make sense of the fact that her friends are going to be parents?
Thanks for seeing my point. I see yours too. How do unflattering photos of people sleeping give any insight into marriage and family life? This whole subject is too strange.
I guess you have to be childless, and want to always be childless, to have this lack of understanding about the fact that people get married and have families.
