A pregnant woman who was a recent Harvard School of Public Health graduate was among more than 60 people murdered by Islamic terrorists in an upscale Kenyan mall, along with the father of her unborn child.
HSPH faculty members recalled yesterday Elif Yavuz, 33, as an expert on malaria, and as a remarkable student who had a flair for colorful fashion and a great sense of humor. We are all in shock. She was such a wonderful person, Thomas Bossert, director of the schools international health services program, told the Herald. -

People shouldn’t be “in shock” anymore.
Terribly sad and disgusting turn of events. It does leave me wondering how any intelligent person could even be in that cesspool. Much more baffling to be there carrying a baby. And a Harvard graduate to make it more unbelievable. Intelligence and wisdom do not always meet in the same body at the same time.
“Harvard graduate” doesn’t automatically mean smart
It could mean “I spent $300,000 for a degree in 17th century feminist studies” or something.
Time for a Kenyan Crusade.
What an ignorant statement.
The article said she was a malaria expert. Where else would she be? In the US where we don’t have malaria?
As a military wife I’ve had occasion to visit establishments all over the world. I’ve actually been to that shopping center. Any of us could have been there.
Shameful to blame the victim.
AFRICA WINS AGAIN.
That was my first thought - how any woman from our world could have so little consideration for herself and her baby.
According to the news reports, the Muslim terrorists let all the Muslims leave the mall. Those who were left were asked the name of Mohammed’s mother. Those who couldn’t answer were shot....whether they were women or not.
Now ask the National Park Service about their video production lauding Islam for promoting women’s rights. Your tax money paid for this project, so they should be glad to answer your request.
Harvard graduate doesnt automatically mean anything. But, maybe she was trying to do some good and not deserving of being gunned down by devout savages.
You could go home for your pregnancy and birth of the child. Pregnancy used to be called “confinement” for a reason. A good reason.
Schools and faculty like Harvard will rightfully sing paens of praise for murdered grads like this poor girl but you’ll look long and hard for most of their ‘progressive’ faculty members to whisper a word of condemnation about the jihadi monsters who murdered her in cold blood.
Whenever I want to go to places like Kenya, I rent a james bond movie. It is both safer AND more exciting.
Wow.
How troglodyte of you.
The rise of Islam was rapid because the message was convert or die.
All they needed to to was declare the mall a gun free zone, have strict gun control and none of this would have happened. Oh wait, Kenya DOES have very stringent gun control. woops.
but Harvard and other elitist schools must teach a lot of arrogance which a typical leftist/statist posesses....they have the "normalcy bias" embedded in their makeup.......as if nobody is ever going to hurt them and if you just study a problem long enough it will go away, that people are just "people" and tend to be good if you smile and wave...
IOWS.....they don't live in the real world.....
Who cares what college she went to? if she’d graduated from a “lesser” university somewhere, would that make her death any less heinous? The subtext here is that because she was a Hahvahd grad she was bound for glory, and her death is greatly to be lamented. It IS, but no more than any of the others in this senseless act of barbarity.
