(CNSNews.com) Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the Florida governor is using scare tactics that can hurt peoples health by not allowing so-called navigators to set up shop in a county health building to enroll people in health insurance exchanges mandated by Obamacare, according to National Public Radio.
"It's unfortunate that scare tactics are being used which may actually prevent people from getting healthy in the first place," Sebelius said Sept. 18 on NPRs Morning Edition.
Gov. Rick Scott, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty met in August about how the $54 million Navigator program would operate in the state, according to a Sept. 14 article in The American Thinker.
Deputy Health Secretary C. Meade Grigg issued the order to 60 health departments across the state banning the navigators and authorizing clinic employees to give patients who ask a brochure about Obamacare enrollment, the article stated.
"It remains to be seen whether the information that people will provide to give navigators assistance is safe," McCarty said in a statement about the results of that meeting. "The information given by applicants will be shared by the Health and Human Services and other federal agencies, including the Social Security Administration, Homeland Security and the Internal Revenue Service."

This whole thing is turning into a sick joke..
Glad to hear Lois wasn’t getting a paycheck, and it is too bad that message didn’t get to the public.
Ah, using scare tactics to try to scare people about supposed scare tactics.....
Like.
Why doesn’t the kathleen ghoul go do her hobbies (aborting babies and killing old people) instead of opening her pie-hole?
Sorry Kathleen, the only entity that has power to use "scare tactics," is the U.S. government.
And yes Kathleen, you and the 0bama regime scare me.
5.56mm
Having health insurance makes you healthy? That could be breaking news.
Aren’t these navigators former ACORN - AKA, community antagonizers? Imagine THAT crew setting up shop in any health clinic! Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.
Why don’t they say “it’s the law”
It’s not just telling them the truth. It is LYING to them about who can and can’t get help from their state. The food stamp people LIED their butts off as did the Medicaid people when my cancer stricken DIL with a diabetic husband who is working a job no American will work part time, when ever his boss will work.
Went over their heads to their state Rep Ron Bacon (R) he is getting involved and fixing a lot of things for them. PRAISE GOD. And when the economy ever improves James will be a full time worker in his true career field of management and supervisor which he did for 20 years before 0 destroyed the economy. And when she is released from Chemo she will go back to work as a CNA.
She who would not sign permission for a little girl to have an organ transplant AND she is talking about “scare tactics?”
Buahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Eff her, she made her own bed and I hope she dies in it.
Why wait for death panels?
