Sticks and stones may break bones, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid just hopes his words are enough to get Republicans to back off Obamacare.
“We’re not going to bow to Tea Party anarchists who deny the mere fact that Obamacare is the law,” Reid said this morning.
That was just the start of it, though.
Reid used words like "fanatic" and "extremist" to describe Republicans threatening to hold up a budget until Congress votes to defund Obamacare and its exchanges, which open for enrollment in eight days.
“Are Republicans so intent on undermining President Obama and the signature health care law that they’re willing to inflict severe damage to our economy in the process?” Reid asked. “If Democrats don’t bow to every demand they have, we’re going to go right over the cliff...Americans will know exactly who to blame — Republican fanatics in the House and Senate.”
Reid was not directing his words at the entire GOP. He was more interested in pulling Republicans away from the Obamacare cliff by turning its members against each other.
“I see more of my moderate Republican colleagues stepping up to speak sense to an extremist element of their own party,” Reid said. “A few reasonable Republicans are wise enough to know that risking the nation’s economic recovery for the sake of a pyrrhic ideological victory would be another step toward a death knell for the Republican Party.”
“I say to the House and Senate Republicans who continue to deny reality...listen to the chorus all around you. Listen to what they’re saying,” Reid said. “Your conservative Senate colleagues urge you off this reckless course...What remains to be seen is whether my Republican colleagues on both sides of the capitol are wise enough to listen.”

Sounds like a threat to me.
“reckless course”, how could it be reckless to save the taxpayer and every American money and probably years off the average lifespan?
I still cannot figure out if these democrats are incompetent, or really trying to destroy our economy and livelihoods. If the latter, what is the motive? There must be one, they must understand that by doing so they are destroying their children, and children’s children future.
The U.S. Constitution will always be characterized as anarchy by left wing revolutionaries.

He is the anarchist, for defying the origination clause of the Constitution. He did it to pass the bill in the first place, and he’s probably fixing to do it again with the defunding bill. Read your history, comrade Reid, or just simply read the Constitution.

Man, that was one of the most hateful, repugnant things I’ve ever heard an elected politician say. I can’t even use the proper words really, so over the top. Harry Reid is just a hatemonger, can hardly believe it.

Political ideology has come full circle. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Conservatives would refer to all left-wing radicals as “anarchists.” Apparently now that the Left is fully in charge, the same epithet is now used as a label for conservatives and libertarians.

Pelosi, Obama, Reid, Feinstein ,Boxer, Schumer , TV news anchors, etc. what more vile evil group of pit vipers have there ever been than these democrats who are typical democrats? none ever. democrats are pure evil. there is no negotiating with democrats.
At my work, anytime politics comes up in the discussion, it inevitably goes into talking about Congress and how Reid and Pelosi are the two smartest and most capable members of Congress. And I get to listen to it.
I also get to listen to how these two have the best policies to help the poor and disenfranchised and if you are a white male, you need to support their positions out of compassion and selflessness, since white men by nature have too much privilege in America, have not been through enough hard times and have not had to overcome real adversity like women and minorities, and therefore are obligated to support Reid and Pelosi since they need to do everything they canto help those who can’t make it in America because they don’t have the privilege of white men.
So much fun listening to all the garbage while trying to hold my tongue /sarcasm and projectile vomit alert.
Look up the concept of Outer Darkness in Mormon Doctrine and then you’ll know where Harry Reid will spend eternity.
