Defunding Obamacare is just a ruse to shut down the government, according to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
“Republicans put legislation on the floor that was intended to shut down government,” Pelosi told CNN host Candy Crowley on Sunday. “For them, that’s a victory because [of] their anti-government ideologues who dominate the Republican party.”
Crowley corrected Pelosi by saying the Republicans wanted to defund Obamacare, but Pelosi stood her ground.
“No, they want to shut down government,” Pelosi said. “The effect of putting [Obamacare] on the bill is to shut down government. They know that. They know it has no prospect of prevailing.”
Pressed further by Crowley, who reminded the minority leader that Obamacare was causing businesses to turn their employees part-time and that Republicans wanted to help those businesses, Pelosi said that was just “an excuse.”
Crowley also asked Pelosi about compromise on the debt ceiling and about Republicans wanting to include further spending cuts.
“The cupboard is bare, there’s no more cuts to make,” Pelosi said.
Apparently Pelosi is unaware of the $200 billion of waste described in detail in an April Government Accountability Office report.
The GOP only wants to be re-elected. If the GOPe leadership allows Obamacare to pass, they are toast next November.
Democrats fight and they stay on script.

If we get a Republican President the first thing the witch will do is stop the yearly increases in the debt and accuse the Republican President of spending too much.

THe Democrats want a transformation of American. They have a passion for it- and won’t be stopped. The GOP just wants to be personally rich.
They don’t care about America. They only care about their bank accounts. They are getting paid off and they are happy about it.
That is why the Dems have been so successful.
