Michelle Obama: POTUS would've been an architect

President Obama could have been an architect, if only he were more talented and creative, first lady Michelle Obama joked Friday.

"Really, deep down, he would have been an architect had he been as talented and creative as all of you," the first lady told honorees at the Cooper-Hewitt Design Awards ceremony in the East Room of the White House.

"From the president to you, he loves you all, he loves your work, he loves everything about every ounce of who you are, and so it is a delight to have you here," she said. "I always look forward to this event because it’s a chance to celebrate some of our country’s finest innovators and most creative minds."

The biggest issue he would’ve had with being an architect is, it would require him to work.

Michelle probably thinks architects just make sketches on paper, and other people do the grunt work of finding materials that can actually deliver what is sketched. They've both always had people to do their work for them.

Maybe more like lack of dedication — modern calculators have made the math fairly easy to execute.

The calculators do the numbers, but I doubt very much that Obama could look at an equation like

6 = 3x

and know how to solve for x. You cannot BS and smile your way to x.
