Why are so many “conservatives” predicting failure and criticizing the effort?
The fake Republicans a la Karl Rove are coming out of the woodwork for us all to see on this issue. They would much rather just “go along to get along” as usual and are having to buckle under our phone calls. Take note who they are.
Because the vast majority of voters in this country have no idea what's going on and when the propagandists begin saying how terrible the shutdown is and that it's the Pubs fault in their nightly news programs the public will believe them.
I doubt we will get obamacare defunded, but I do believe we will get a delay. If we can expand our majority in the House and win back the Senate with Tea Party Pubs then we can defund it, or continue the delay until we get a Pub POTUS.
I think what was really smart was the Pubs now have a 200 pg bill that responds to the question "if you repeal it what will you put in it's place".
Nuf ced.
Seriously! It’s like these people are being bribed or something. Would Krauthammer give up his plan for Obamacare? In light of his disability, I’m sure the answer is “hell no”.
Yet, he thinks it’s ok to railroad a disillusioned public who is begging for someone to kill this monstrous bill. I’ve stopped trying to make sense out of rich peoples out of touch opinions.
He is not a conservative overall. Maybe on some issues he seems that way, but he really isn’t a conservative. He is very intelligent though, just not a conservative.
Because it's a legitimate concern.
After the Senate rejects the CR, no one knows what will happen. Some of the possible outcomes are fairly good, some are really bad.
The view that a chaotic and probably collapsing Obamacare in September-October 2014 would be good politics for November 2014 is correct. You should acknowledge the possibility that the chaos that a shutdown will unleash in October 2013, 13 months before the election, will give the Propaganda Ministry too much time to frame the next election.
Obamacare cannot possibly "work". It's not designed to "work". It's designed to fail, to create chaos, and to arouse public clamor for full nationalization. Funding it, and blaming the resultant chaos on the Democrats, is a legitimate strategy.
That's why some conservatives are opposed to the Cruz strategy. They may not be right, but they do have a reasonable concern.
