BEIRUT (AP) — The trajectory of the rockets that delivered the nerve agent sarin in last month's deadly attack is among the key evidence linking elite Syrian troops based in the mountains overlooking Damascus to the strike that killed hundreds of people, diplomats and human rights officials said Wednesday.

Were the rockets launched from behind a grassy knoll?

We’re still arguing the ballistics of the shot that killed JFK 50 years ago. Frankly, people aren’t going to be swayed by this type of argument if their minds are made up on the issue. I suppose we’ll hear more about it.

My mind is made up about 2 things. Regardless who it was, we have no business arming the rebels. And anything out of the UN is suspect.

Okay.

Let the Turks send the tanks, ships and planes.

Let the Saudis pay for it.

I hate it when an evil man uses armored vehicles and chemical weapons against his own civilian populace causing the deaths of innocent women and children.....like Bill Clinton did at Waco.

They cannot determine the trajectory of the projectile absent counter-battery radar. I doubt that the mooj on the other side have a Q37.

What they can do is a shell crater analysis that will give a line of position back to the firing position, but where along the LOP can vary with charge, quadrant and high or low angle of attack. If there is a close by intervening crest, they can maybe eliminate the low angle attack.

Reporters can’t tell the difference between a shotgun and an AR-15. They really shouldn’t be trying their hands at the exterior ballistics of indirect fire systems.

Thanks for the perspective. We’ve experienced a bulls* blizzard since this attack. No way to know “who flung dung” at this point.

Yea right. And before that it was the NSA only listens to a few calls, only one IRS office in Chicago was responsible for any delays, a Youtube.com video caused the riot that killed four Americans, “so what difference does it make,” the weapons were sold to Mexican drug gangs by gun shops in the US, and the black panthers did no wrong by disfranchising voters at the poles not to mention obamacare. I’m sure I have missed some, and these clowns wonder why the American public doesn’t support, believe, or trust this so called president.

I also find it intersting that they are citing as evidence that the regime is responsible the following:

The quality of the Sarin.
The type of rockets.
The warheads of said rockets.

As opposed to what? The quality of the Sarin and the types of chemical delivery rockets and warheads that the rebels possess? BTW - how did they get samples of the Sarin and who analyzed it? It is fairly volatile in a hot desert environment. Was UXO recovered?

Not saying that I believe the rebels launched these against their own side - a possibility, but remote compared to the probability that the attack did in fact come from the government as advertised.

What I do read, between the lines, is that the rebels too have chemical weapons - just not the same number, type and perhaps quality that the regime does.

But then again maybe I am misled by the lack of clarity and poor English construction of the idiotic Yahoo and AP reportage.
