In the year since the Benghazi terrorist attack took the lives of four Americans, House Republicans have continually pressed the Obama administration for answers regarding events preceding the attack, the administrations response, and what has been done to protect the lives of Americans going forward. Those efforts will continue with three House committee hearings this week. Heres more:
The House Foreign Affairs Committee holds a hearing Wednesday, September 18th at 10 am ET titled: Benghazi: Where is the State Department Accountability? The committee notes that four employees placed on administration leave following the attack have recently been re-assigned within the department. This hearing will examine why no one inside the State Department has yet been held accountable for the failures and deficiencies identified in the Benghazi Accountability Review Boards report. [TUNE IN HERE ] The House Oversight & Government Reform Committee holds a hearing Thursday, September 19th at 9:30 am ET with Benghazi Accountability Review Board co-chairs Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering and Admiral Michael G. Mullen, USN (Ret.), members of the Departments security panel that conducted a review, and family members of those killed in the attack. The hearing will focus on the review boards investigation and questions that still remain regarding the attack and the administrations response. [TUNE IN HERE] The House Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing Thursday, September 19th at 3:30 pm ET on lessons from Benghazi and the Defense Departments ability to respond to similar attacks today. [TUNE IN HERE]
Earlier this year, House Republicans released an interim report on Benghazi outlining the findings of five committees of jurisdiction investigating the attacks, and laying out next steps including additional hearings and an ongoing effort to obtain access to witnesses and information being withheld by the Obama administration. It is disgraceful that one year later, even though a number of the terrorists who participated in this attack have been identified, not a single one has been brought to justice, Speaker Boehner said last week, pledging that Republicans will press forward with our investigation until we have answers, full accountability, and justice.
Notice the contrast of some who want to speak only to the heroic virtues of those who died, with those who take that as a given and focus on demand for answers and the lies that have been told.
Another piece of small town America is heard from.
As has been stated, the ‘the military didn’t have time to respond’ is also an extension of the cover-up. They had no idea how long the attack would last so they cannot possibly say they “didn’t have time”. The Repubs CANNOT let the DemonRats get away with this comment!
Looks like all the Dems left the hearing. Scum!
Look how alone these people appear to be compared to what came before.
Exactly...spot on...
“Looks like all the Dems left the hearing. Scum!”
SPEAKS VOLUMES!!!
okay/ ehat just happened/ Was Issa praisng boehner or shaming him?
One said that Elijah had stayed. Obviously, most of them left. Not cool at all.
Hearing is adjourned. I wish I could hear what Mrs. Smith and Mr. Woods are saying to CongressCritters off camera after the hearing.
Perhaps simply pre-empting any move by B to shut him down?
Hearing over...lots of hugs from Pubs for Mr. Woods and Ms. Smith...no dims present...shameful and proof that dims will lie, cheat or steal for Obozo, Hill and liberalism...no conscience what so ever.
Conveniently, CSPAN3 feed sux...

Thanks for heads-up. Lummis very good!
P: video feeds to the TOC in Benghazi monitored by a DS agent, who had an opportunity to see certain cameras that were put in for precisely that kind of surveillance.
He was speaking over phone to DS operation center in Washington.
Lummis: OK, so that gets it into the chain of command...So that info should have been available to Pres, SecState, SecDeF. Is that correct.
P: That particular set of info was shared in the State Dept. I don’t know to what degree it went beyond the State Dept.
ONCE AGAIN, another example of an astonishing lack of curiosity on P’s behalf.
[snip]
Lummis: Is it true that a former Gitmo detainee who knew Stevens claimed responsibility for the attack after it happened.
P: You’re getting into classified intel.
ISSA: That’s a-—That is NOT true. That is NOT classified that they made a overt claim of responsibility....They made a very public claim
P: Yea but—OK.
Lummis: Is it true that there is docs that MB and operatives from Egypt were involved in the attack?
P: Our report indicates that one Egyptian group that was named in the report was possibly involved.....
L: Is it true that they were seeking to loot SAMs that were gathering up at the annex?
P: No comment
L: It is possible that they were trying to acquire classified communications codes?
P: No comment
L: Is it true that they were planning to kidnap the ambassador and it went wrong?
P: No comment
L: I yield back my time
[snip]
P: Kidnapping seemed to me to be farfetched bec .... they did not make a serious attempt to go into the closed area of the villa. It is not even sure they knew the ambassador was there.

Very little is every made of Steven’s meeting with the Turkish envoy. IIRC, terrorists already had roadblocks when he left the compound. If true, How did he get through? Why did he not warn Stevens by phone?
Nevertheless, the observation by the terrorists of Turk leaving would be an indication, if they needed another, that Stevens was in the compound.

Sorry to be behind listening and typing on one part of testimony while thread is live and on another.
Shaming him it is. That;s what it felt like. Just checking.
Anyone have linkage for the Armed Svc hearing?
Civilized, these Democrats, aren’t they?
Absolutely. They used hindsight to establish every angle of their bogus report instead of assuming nothing and investigating the facts.
The “DemonRats” are just another extension of the BS patrol. I only wish one of the family members would have cast light on what they saw earlier this morning. Cummins is the number one snake in the grass. Spends 4 sessions praising the finding of the sham wow hucksters and then comes on to the tell the families he wants to get to the truth.
Evilized.
Where is coverage of Armed Services hearing?
After ARB testifies, only 2 @OversightDems decide to stay & hear testimony from family members on 2nd panel PHOTO:
