The U.S. and Russia have reached a deal to hand over Assad's chemical weapons stockpiles to the international community for their removal and destruction.
This move allows the U.S. to save face, and it has at least temporarily postponed a U.S. military attack on Syria. But the Syria problem is obviously far from solved.
In all likelihood, the complete removal and destruction of chemical weapons is a pipe dream.
Toto, we seem to still be in Kansas.
Gee. Ya THINK? I HATE these posers! Hate them!
If you remove the poison gas they will use small pox virus or some other method of killing each other. You cannot stop hate from being demonstrated between these people. It is how they live and they love it.
It is not our job to try and police or protect them. It is not possible anyway.
1. Weapons are all hidden.
2. Good luck to inspectors dodging bullets trying to find them.
3. Assad will han a a very short list, “ this is all i got”.
4. Assad opens the doors to the wmd buildings and there virtually empty, “ there ya go, that`s all of `er.”
It’s just Obama’s, “Mother Of All DISTRACTIONS”
Excellent source of information. Thanks very much.
Its just Obamas, Mother Of All DISTRACTIONS
I have full faith the next distraction will be even more... well... "distracting," I suppose I could say.
This debacle has been a strategic disaster. As long as Iran has access to Syrian forward bases for its mobile ballistic missiles, Israel cannot attack Iran’s nuclear facilities with suffering a devastating counterattack. Obama and Kerry made a huge error when they placed their entire strategy on the hope that the rebels would overthrow Assad if assisted by hard “limited strikes”. They totally ignored the barbaric anti Christian atrocities of these al Qaeda dominated Islamists. They also never made a case to a war weary America why it is a critical that the US essentially declare war on Syria. The neocons are howling and there will be incredible pressure on a very conflicted Obama to launch a military strike. Doubt it will happen. Iran will have its nuclear weapons within a year. There are real consequences to inept policy and poor leadership.
Exactly.
4. Assad opens the doors to the wmd buildings and there virtually empty, there ya go, that`s all of `er.
Reminiscent of ‘Jerry Rivers’ and Al Capone’s safe, LOL!
Putin has brilliantly found a way for Urkel, with the help of the slavish MSM, to save face, while the rest of the world that has more than two brain cells knows that Putin is kicking sand in his face.
Obama is currently negotiating with Putin the terms for the removal of the chemical arms from Syria. These negotiations entail the removal to be conducted and overseen by Russia/Putin, Assads main supporter and must trusted ally!
In order for Assad to agree to this plan, he has demanded that Obama promise that the US will not attack the genocidal Syrian regime, under any circumstances. These terms will leave Assad free to continue his butchering of innocent men, women, and children.
Once agreed upon, these negotiations would also result in Putin gaining the control over the Middle Easts future, essentially eliminating the central role of the US in that vital area of the world since the 1970s.
To throw salt in the wound, Putin has also promised to further increase the shipment of conventional arms to Syria and Iran in an effort to secure the stability of those regimes; which would in turn make him a strong candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. (Lets just ignore the fact that 1,400 innocent civilians were murdered by chemical arms; while more than 100,000 innocents were murdered by conventional arms.)
Putin will exchange the chemical arms with Assad for an unlimited supply of conventional arms. In addition, Putin has also sent the Russian navy to protect Syria from any possible US attacks. We must all keep in mind the fact that the war in Syria is being waged between two evils. In one side we have Assad, Iran and Russia, and in the rebels side, Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood and Obama. The US should have never gotten involved in the Syrian civil war.
Again, in the most egregious Orwellian fashion, the American Secretary of State thanks Putin for taking over the leadership in the Middle East after displacing the United States. Meanwhile, the American media will laud Obamas Syrian debacle as a great victory for peace. Perhaps he will receive another Nobel Peace Prize, and this time it will be shared with Putin.
Have we considered the possibility that the WH and perhaps also Congress are being blackmailed by Russia because of information they have acquired from Snowden?
