ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) - Atlanta’s high temperature on Thursday was only 73 degrees which is the coolest high temperature on record for August 15.
The previous record was a high of only 77 degrees from 1908.
The average high temperature for this time of year is 88 degrees, putting Thursday’s high 15 degrees below average.
Atlanta has seen a cooler-than-average summer due to a lot of rain. We’re about 15 inches above average on rainfall this year.
They must have not got the memo:
No one is doing “record cold”; bad for the leaders.
What about Global Hot Air??
“Cold Sun” by John Casey. The sun is entering a period of “hibernation”. Casey lays it out in this book. Read it and weep algore.
colder winters could be rough on the rock pythons, boa constrictors, and other invasive critters in Florida
Come on. Everybody sing.
Hey Hey Ho Ho, Global Climate Disruption’s not just a perdiction anymore.
Algore and crew have got to be developing their new explanation for how man-made global warming is actually causing mandmade global cooling, and how we now need to cut our burning of fossil fuels because everyone just knows that it will drive us into the next ice age in the next 10 years. Only “deniers” will stupidly believe differently. (s)
Clearly only one conclusion, the weather is racist.
It was in the high 80's today.
I'm beginning to think that Al Gore was WRONG about global warming! /s
If you don’t want it, please send your cooler weather here. I am getting sick of 98+ every day. The Texas summer is so just remind us how good we got it in the Winter.
Y’all Georgians can send all the extra cool air you can spare to North Texas. Thanks in advance.
Global warming, obviously.
Uh I don’t know what they are talking about but in my area of Atlanta yesterday it was about 86 degrees and low humidity so you didn’t feel it so bad. Thursday was near 90 degrees. Cool this morning but up to 79 expected today. Very nice so far this morning. It has been a cool very wet summer for us though as compared to the normal temps.
3 days ago here in S.E. Michigan, it was 97 degrees.......this morning it started out at 38........
