On June 21, 2013, the Financial Times newspaper of the UK, described Obama as the Mikhail Gorbachev of America: http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/9428c460-d906-11e2-84fa-00144feab7de.html#axzz2emZwGd8h
Over the past few days, Putin has proven himself to be the Ronald Reagan of Russia. I am not trying to imply that Reagan and Putin have the same ideology. I am only trying to say that Reagan was a great patriot who fought for the long-term interests of America, while Putin is a Russian Patriot who fights for the long term interests of Russia.
Putin has been telling the Russian people to have more babies, and the Russian government is paying Russians to have babies: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-02-04/in-russia-valentine-s-day-is-for-making-babies.html
Putin has also stopped the gay agenda in Russia, which is good for the children of Russia.
But the Christians of Syria and other parts of the Middle-East are not laughing. The pro-Islamist government in Washington wants to see the Christians of the Middle-East exterminated. The Christians of the Middle-East view Putin as their defender from radical Islam, in much the same way as the Christians of Eastern Europe saw Reagan as their protector from communism.
All Putin needs to do is to go to the Berlin Wall and say "Mr. Obama, tear down your anti-Christian Federal Government".
Obama is the American Idiot!
We might export our deadbeat welfare dads to Russia. Some have "fathered" more than 20 kids.
And then you proceed to do so.
Well, sure - if you ignore the imprisoning of political opponents, the corruption & looting of the government, fradulent elections, closing down media he disagrees with & nationalizing private businesses then Putin is a real hoot.
Thank you Algore for the Internet or we’d never see any honest reporting on the First Black President.
>>>And then you proceed to do so.
I do not deny that Putin has engaged in some repression. But Russia is much better than in the communist era. Russia is certainly better to live in, than in a Middle-Eastern country. Do you doubt that Putin is looking out for the long term interests of his country? Many of his ideas are the opposite of Reagan’s. But both men are patriots in the eyes of their people.
It’s a funny dynamic, in a sick, twisted way.
America arming al-Qaeda terrorists who slaughter Christians, while culturally pushing perversion, homosex, and deviancy. An empire of evil indeed. Sliding down the sewer. Then along comes Putin standing up for Christians, and putting a stop-sign in front of the degenerate, homo-fascist agenda. That’s the “picture” being presented throughout the globe.
A lot of propaganda and political calculation are involved, and yet, there is a sad, depressing truth to the whole scenario. Especially in regards to how America has gone so off-the-rails into utter madness.
And let's not forget, Putin also defended Egyptian Gen al-Sisi in his recent effort to drive the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics. Putin was there for al-Sisi when the general vowed to rebuild the 63 churches torched by Muzzies who rampaged over Christian homes and businesses.
Now, I view Putin's NYT op-ed as a post-grad master's thesis. Clearly, Putin was eager to proclaim his Christianity and seized on "exceptionalism" as the word upon which to lay the foundation for his proclamation.
We, the people, know we will never hear Obama say:
"......when we ask for the Lord's blessings, we must not forget that God created us equal," as Putin wrote in the NYT.
......something every Christian believes---an article of faith for Christians.....and, not coincidentally, the bedrock of our constitutional republic.
===========================================================================
Our incompetent boob of a community organizer, and his equally incompetent sycophants, have calculatedly turned our "shining city on a hill" into a third world hellhole.
LET'S STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE---2008 Obama was a pop-up candidate---came out of nowhere---groomed by Chicago criminal politics. After he got elected---his handlers admitted they let the media know only what THEY wanted them to know. Obama was cued to say all the right things---hope and change---even said he wanted to be another Reagan (probably the biggest lie any presidential candidate ever uttered).
Obama slipped up only once---and it was a whopper---he told Joe the Plumber he wanted to redistribute the wealth-=---a classic Communist phrase. Unfortunatly his snively RINO oppenent McCain never bothered to explain what that might mean for the once-powerful US economic engine---now in ruins.
Which basically places Putin closer to Obama, on the ideological scale. Heck, if it wasn't for the homo-thing, they'd be practically identical. Consider this: Obama is pro-homo for cynical and opportunistic political reasons, and Putin is anti-homo for the same reason. If Obama was anti-homo, and Putin wanted to "stick" it to the U.S., he'd be wearing eyeshadow and lavender pumps.
>>>Well, sure - if you ignore the imprisoning of political opponents, the corruption & looting of the government, fradulent elections
1. On political prisoners - Didn’t Obama lock up the Egyptian Christian who made a movie on Muhammad?
2. On corruption in Government - Would the Russian government be more honest if it was run like the Obama federal government?
3. On Fraudulent elections - I am willing to bet that more dead voters and illegal aliens voted for Obama, especially in Chicago, than voted for Putin.
That is entirely unfair to Gorby.
Onbama is more like the British homosexual spy, Guy Burgess, who betrayed America (and Britain) by leaking American secrets to Stalinist Russia.
You're free to change the meaning if you wish, but don't expect the rest of the world to go along with you.
Precisely the sweeping generalization that makes trouble for your "analogy." You don't have to look very hard to find someone who thinks Obama is a "patriot." Does that make similar to Ronald Reagan as well?
Careful there. You don't want to pop FR's love affair balloon with the communist dictator.
I have immediate access to about twelve of them, pick one and let's get started.
