When I was growing up in Florida in the 50s & early 60s, both rape and murder were capital offenses that were actually carried out.
Didn’t take him long to fall like a rock and destroy his life did it?
Wow that brings back some memories.
I remember back when our local cable system boasted about adding a new channel.
I can't remember what they channel was but they repeatedly showed Airwolf morning noon and night.
We called it the Helicopter channel and no one watched it.
The look on those faces... not remorseful, not ashamed. They also look like they have a combined IQ of about 7.
Why would a rapist ever leave a victim alive then?
I can't claim to have a definitive answer, EEGator, but would guess lots of rapists, especially the young variety who operate in gangs, aren't capable of sufficient cause and effect logic to comprehend much about consequences. As well as they can discern, they're just having fun on the fly.
Rope is inexpensive, reusable, and readily recycleable.
To the savages, in prison or out of prison, it’s all the same. In fact, probably many of the brutes prefer being behind bars, in that they don’t have to get off their lazy asses to beg and steal and murder to get their daily bread.

Still laughing. Thanks for the link.
20 yrs of what? “Punishment”??
3 meals, roof, A/C and heat, bed, medical, library, internet, ‘free’ education/healthcare/gym/cable....Hummm, I’m trying to see where this is something designed for attrition and rehabilitation.
Even Sheriff Joe’s setup is more about discomfort than ‘hard labor’.
Where’s the chain gangs, rock yards and license plates? Let alone the DECADES, if the State even HAS a death penalty, to put one of these shit bags down for good?!
Bet they wont be laughing when they become the rapee in prison.

Not everyone is raped in prison. These are predators and there is a whole predator protection network in there.
