Boehner and Menendez react to Putin’s op-ed: “I was insulted,” “I almost wanted to vomit”

Via the Free Beacon and the Corner. No surprise that two of O’s few Syria allies in Congress would be outraged on his behalf by Putin’s latest humiliation, but honestly, I’ve been against striking Syria all along and I was irritated by the op-ed too. Makes me wonder how many doves on the Hill are starting to chafe at the obvious enjoyment the Kremlin and its client are taking in embarrassing the White House, notwithstanding the fact that our president spent a full year moronically bumbling his way into this mess. You may hate having Ryan Leaf at quarterback, but that doesn’t make it easier to watch the other team celebrate for 15 minutes in the end zone after they pick him off and run it back. Hitting Syria is unpopular enough with American voters that Putin can probably go on dancing for awhile before sentiments start to shift in Congress, but there’ll be no new “resets” in 2017, needless to say. Coming soon from John McCain’s press shop: It’s time to arm the Novosibirsk rebels.

Speaking of which, why did the Times greenlight Putin’s piece after rejecting an op-ed submitted by McCain when he was GOP nominee in 2008? Both pieces were of national interest because of the stature of the author; both pieces were crafted with an eye to advancing a political agenda, not stating a candid opinion. If campaign talking points don’t qualify as news during a presidential election, why does Kremlin propaganda qualify in the middle of a big UN charade?

Word.

I wish they would take the "land of the free, home of the brave" bulls**t out of the national anthem since the country is mostly micro-managed sheep, cowering in fear and only lashing out at those who talk about relieving them of their chains.

Just a minute ago on twitter Judge Napolitano had this to say.

FEDS will force taxpayers to spend $2 billion every year to promote Obamacare

Woo hoo more exceptionalism.

When Boehner takes the awful elixir for preparation for a colonoscopy, he will truly want to vomit but can’t.

Don’t you think that silly squalling is Boehner’s way to charm the women of OH, particularly in the suburbs?

I’d play with you on this, but I need to leave for my optometrist appointment.

Short answer: Nope, I am doing what I do for free.

The founding fathers NEVER claimed that the “founding documents” gave America any rights superior to those of any other nation.

i never said the documents did that... what the documents do say is that the individual is superior to the State and that goes for all individuals and the rights one has... people have rights... nations have powers... nations have the power to defend themselves... people have the right to defend themselves.

"America is no longer defined as the rugged individualist that stakes his existence on his own resourcefulness, but a socialist looter, similar to every other grabber around the developing world."

-------------------------->

Mr. h and I watched 'Atlas Shruged I' last weekend and watch part II tonight. I know Rand is not everyone's cup of tea but it was exciting for us. It turned out that part II was very reflective re: current US state of affairs - a 1984 - feeling. Taking from the rich and spreading it out to others, for example.

Mr. h and I kept looking at each other whenever a scene reflected our current situation in the US.

Watch Part I first because you do need to see what the buildup is all about and what the characters are like.

Part II covers more about John Galt and people rioting in the streets, and what government can do to the makers of wealth.

And, if you have about 15 seconds you will see Hannity, Juan Williams, Bob Beckel and a lady at the table who I did not recognize. They play themselves.

It leaves a lot of questions; Mr. h wanted a neat, tidy ending but you are still left not quite sure who John Galt is. Like watching the last episode of the Sopranos and having a WTH feeling when it didn't end neat and tidy.

Part I and Part II ------------> awesome! Both have opportunities for debate.

Invite your progressive friends over for a viewing and invite the conservatives, too, so everyone can see for himself what it looks like when a progressive's head blows up, or if they smugly say 'see that's what turmoil capitalist cause"..............heh..........>

Husband and I enjoyed discussing it later. He is reading the book and wants to read the last chapter to see if there is a different ending! He loves those movies that are neat and tidy! *snicker*

God bless Mr. h - he is the best husband ever and we've gone through some many hard times - mostly medical problems I had - and he is still here. I love you, Mr. h!

"No proof, but who here doubts that McLame was IN on Benghazi?

The more I think about it, the more sense it makes.

Miss Lindsay, also?

------------------------------->

Well, that's interesting. They both visited over there to talk to the rebels. (photos available)

They should have kept their asses home. Unless the president sanctions them visiting with an enemy, I think they have overstepped the boundaries and muddled foreign policy.

Guess B. Hussein O. was golfing and John Kerry was getting his face worked on.

Did McCain and Miss Lindsay have a government sanction to make these trips? Are the trips being done so Hussein doesn't get into a pissing match with Putin. If he did though, I'm sure of who would win.

These gals need to put on their big girl panties and get over themselves.

Leaders(B. Hussein O.) look particularly weak when they come out with this sh*t.

To the rest of the world, we must look like idiots if this is the best we have for tours in Civil War in another country, while trying to do a little exercise in diplomacy.

'if true Americans can shed the yoke of crony capitalism and consumerism, we may have a chance to reclaim our exceptionalism. it still exists in our documents, we just need to acknowledge them again.'

------------------------------>

"...we just need to acknowledge them again."

Buy 'Made in America' products. Study the Constitution.

Get involved with the political scene if possible.

Make a stand, without embarrassment, that you are proud to be an American and you want to bring America back to its glory. Ask them to join you in returning America to its exceptionalism.

110% Bad Ass.

Now, how do we work with him. He's already checkmated B. Hussein O. several times.

Putin may be a thug, but he is definitely an alpha male. Alpha males deal with other alpha males.
