Fox News anchor Shepard Smith is leaving his 7 p.m. ET timeslot to take on a larger role heading up the network’s new breaking news division.

Beginning this fall, the new division, with Smith as the main anchor and its managing editor, will have the capability to break into any Fox News programming, daytime or primetime, with the latest reporting, network spokeswoman Ashley Nerz told TheBlaze.

Fox does love News Alerts. They can make a Fox News Alert out of just about any story.

Hannity is RINOs on parade

I just don't think that's true of Hannity. First, he's a real outlier in the Fox stables. He's doesn't have a college degree, so he's definitely not part of the ivy league boutique that is everyone else.

He's a real working class background.

And, he's the one guy that has staunchly been putting real conservatives on to get air time. Of the major talking heads at Fox, he also has been anti-Syria campaign, despite following Mr Spinner, hisself.

I can’t imagine a worse selection than having Shep in charge of breaking news. I’ve seen him in that role and he was horrible. He gets too excited, messes up the facts, and is hardly fair, balanced and unafraid.
