I've never seen anything like it here. It's not thunderstorms, just steady, driving rain.
I'm sure the cool and rainy weather somehow proves global warming, though.

What good is it having a Great Basin if you never fill it?

I saw 33 inches in 24 hours in 2001. 6 inches in 19 hours doesn’t sound so bad.
I guess it depends on the drainage.

The electorate, in 2012, delivered God a great big middle finger.

It’s pretty bad here in Aurora. Someone I know posted footage of the Red Lobster near Havana off Alameda. Looked like a river. Watching from my hospital window all the traffic backed up on Colfax.

Hospital just announced over loud speaker to all staff plan b in effect...not a drill. Not sure if related to weather or not.

Hope you and yours are OK.
Just a few miles south of the Big Thompson Canyon, where the tragic flood of 1976 resulted from 8 inches of rain in one hour and killed 143 people. Sounds like evacuations are underway there now, too.
Stay safe.
