Monday morning, Secretary of State John Kerry made what an administration official called a "major goof" with a never-going-to-happen hypothetical that suggested Syria could avoid American airstrikes by surrendering their chemical weapons. Even the State Department walked Kerry's statement back. But Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov immediately seized upon Kerry's flub, and now a member of the Russian parliament is gloating over Putin's checkmate of Obama.

Big deal. It doesn’t practically matter. To the average, pretty much NOT tuned in, American ... Obama looks reasonable and statesmen-like yet again. The GOP couldn’t decide on a message and looked feckless again. McConnell JUST came out against air strikes (how terribly brave of that idiot).
So here we are, screaming away in the echo chamber with no one listening ... again.

But now it is Obama’s idea and our MSM will push that lie 24/7 all the while keeping the Benghazi, IRS, NSA scandals pushed to the back burner.

... Assad is already taking advantage of the Putin/Kerry monkey wrench. For the first time since the talk of America military action began, today Syria resumed its bombing attacks against the rebels. The Obama objective of regime change has been derailed. It was never about the chem weapons and "the children" being killed, as horrific as that reality is, whoever did it. The little man trying to pull levers hiding behind the curtain of "his" US military power has been exposed.

With this media you are never going to get the “Knockout” punch against Obama.
They can spin anything to make Obama look good....it’s just the way it us.
At least we won’t be going to war for now, I suppose we’ll just have to settle for that.

It doesn’t matter, Obama got what he wanted. He is keeping Benghazi off the headlines on the anniversary of the most embarrassing and humiliating event in USA history.

While the world thinks Obamalamadingdong is a ding dong and got made the fool, meanwhile back in the USA the press will praise Obama for his superior intelligence and diplomatic skills for avoiding a war, unlike those uncouth cowboy Republicans who got us into Iraq.
Unfortunately the low information voters of the American Electorate will eat it up.

Sadly, I think you are right. Most Americans aren't even paying attention. Obama will come out smelling like a rose - as usual. A very WEAK rose, but no one but us will notice.
McConnell is a cowardly jerk... he should be primaried.

Not really this incident only exacerbates the foreign policy problems of Benghazi.

And it keeps the media from focusing at the NSA warehousing our communications, the IRS giving preference to black non-profit groups, the dismal effects of Obamacare now being felt throughout the nation (hi, IBM and Atlanta), the black on white attacks occuring throughout the nation (especially in NYC), the rise in food stamp usage, the fall in workforce participation, the...
