Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) will honor former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with this year’s Liberty Medal from the National Constitution Center. The award will be presented to Clinton on September 10th, the eve of the first anniversary of the terrorist attack on the United States mission in Benghazi that killed four Americans.

Upon the announcement of Clinton’s award in June, Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft wrote, “Really Jeb, no one else came to mind?"

Just like McCain vs. Obama.
Not AS sure about Romney vs. Obama, but... Soros was comfortable with Romney, sooooo.....

Romney and Obama are [politically] sufficiently similar that you could use their names interchangeably.

Aw...too bad.

It is a funny picture of a guy in a motorboat with a chest full of medals and a REALLY silly looking hat.

Sadly, no. And I have even less excuse because I'm a Californian -- Arnold should have snapped me out of it! Even the disgusting statist Meg Whitman, a faux-Republican pushed by Romney who ran against Jerry Brown in the last race for governor, didn't snap me out of it. I chickened out and voted for her against my better judgment. As if it would have made any dif if she'd won.

No, it was Romney. RE Laz's post 116 above on evil vs. evil, in fact. I was inclined to favor Romney at first, until I did my research. Two things made me decide that voting for evil and depravity was wrong even if the candidate was Obama's opponent. 1: Romney ENDORSED the promotion of Gay Youth Pride among elementary schools while governor of Mass. 2: Romney IS ON TAPE saying that if a young teen gets pregnant but her parents refuse consent to an abortion, that teen should have the "right" to go to a judge and request that the judge override her parents' authority.

Both positions Romney took certainly tend to lead little ones astray -- my bible warns that folks who lead little ones astray are very, very, very bad indeed. Voting for Romney was absolutely, 100 percent as nuts as voting for Obama would have been. So in 2012, for the first time in 35-plus years of voting I declined a Republican candidate and voted third party in the presidential to weaken the popular mandate of whichever bastard won. My mother, an active and loyal Republican for more than 60 yeas, declined Romney for the same reason. It was the first time in more than six decades she had ever declined a Republican on any ballot.

Idiots who think she and I were indulging in a "childish temper tantrum" are wholly out of touch with the reality. In spite of Rove's so-called "wisdom," demography is not destiny. It is only pretense. MORALITY is destiny. It is why Romney lost. Thank God.

Jeb crowning Hillary; from one royal political family to another. This shows there aren’t two parties but only one ruling class. Shame America doesn’t have an opposition party.

Is there really any difference between the two big parties????

Same trajectory.

Different speeds.

Ah, yes, the ol' "a vote for anyone but Romney is a vote for Obama" AKA the "voting against Obama by voting for Romney" fallacy.

Mathematical reality: A ballot choice is like a light switch: ON or OFF. Your vote FOR it is either on, or off. The idea of voting "against" is pure emotional rationalization. A vote for Romney was ONLY a vote for Romney, and a vote for Obama was ONLY a vote for Obama. It was and will always be mathematically FALSE to conclude that voting for someone is the equivalent of voting against his/her opponent.

Even when you vote "against" a proposition, you are mathematically voting FOR nixing it. When you vote "for" a proposition, you vote FOR implementing it. There are ZERO options on the ballot to vote FOR rejecting a candidate; there are only options on the ballot to vote FOR a candidate to replace him, or to decline voting FOR that replacement. Voting FOR a replacement candidate who will deliver the same results as the guy you want to remove, means you will get more of the same thing you wanted to remove.

I remember wishful folks here were rationalizing (very understandably, I might add, and I sympatize) that they weren't voting to "hire" Romney, they were voting to "fire" Obama. I had to sadly inform them of the plain, mathematical truth: No, they were voting to hire Romney. PERIOD. There was no option on the ballot to fire anyone -- ONLY to hire a replacement. A subtle but profound difference.

And they always thought that George was the lesser intelligent one of the family. I think Jeb takes that cake!

Even if Jeb were so deluded that he thinks he will be the Repub nominee in 2016, why would he be giving awards to his almost certain opponent? What likely Repub candidate has EVER been given an award by a RAT? From the Bush’s perspective though, what the F difference does it make? They are rich and living the good life. A Hillary Presidency won’t alter that significantly, and after he gives her the award, the Bush’s might be eligible for exemptions from whatever idiocy they force on the rest of us.

A lot of good opinions here, sediment has changed a bit in the last several years. Still, opinions mean nothing without action...

And action means nothing without a plan.

I can show you a million battle-hardened US military vets, to a single one who will crack a law book and learn what the actual mechanisms of tyranny are in this country.

Everybody wants to fight stupid. No one wants to fight smart. In military terms, would you give up the high ground and throw down your rifle and choose knives in a swamp, just because a bunch of grunts voted to do that with their hoo-rahs?

Of course not.

Likewise, the greatest, most powerful weapon for freedom the world has ever seen int he Constitution and laws of the USA. That's why, from dumbing down schools to Miley Cyrus, the enemy exerts itself in every way for people to drop their weapons of discrimination and study, to back away from the high ground of legal studies and deconstruction, and to walk into the killing ground swamp of hoo-rah nonsense.

"Winning" is right in front of us, but no one will put in the work. Oh, everyone will say the right things, but in the mean time Hillary gets awards and the PC black cloud keeps growing.

This is an example of what I mean - study it, and understand. Or just go back to your tailgate party and talk about the good old days.

Jeb and the rest of Bush’s are way off the line; so far off that if Republicans continue with them, we’ll have to continue with someone other than RNC.

Bill Clinton practically lives in the Bush compound in Kennebunkport, Maine. Cookies and milk from Mom (AKA Barbara Bush) who calls him “son”. If Obama ever steps down I’m sure Kennebunkport will be home to 4 former Presidents (if Paul LePage doesn’t step in).

If the gop/e gives us another liberal to vote for... after a lifetime of voting in lock step with them... I will not do it again. If crispy creme... jebby bush... or any other leftwing republican is forced upon us again... I will vote for the new Party that Palin and Levin will help to build. The Freedom Party... bank on it!
