Tonight we have the first parliamentary elections since the Breivik murder rampage two years ago.
The last polls have indicated that the socialistic government will fall, and that a coalition of conservative parties will take over.
This coalition - if it happens - will include the Progress Party which is almost something unique in a Scandinavian setting.
Here are some quotes from the National Review:
"By the way, there are two items of particular interest in Jensens office: a little Israeli flag and a bust of Reagan. It would be hard to convey how extraordinary these symbols are in the traditional Norwegian political culture. An American politician might be less scandalous for having kiddie porn in his office."
"The Progress party was founded in 1973, to advance the principles of classical liberalism. The party declares that its philosophy starts with the democratic assumption that the people are best placed to decide what is best for them. This is radical, almost revolutionary stuff here in Scandinavia. Progresss symbol is an apple: healthful, good for you. Norheim likes to crack, An apple a day keeps the government away. The symbol of the partys youth branch is a thumbprint: a symbol of individualism. Everyone has a thumbprint, and everyones is different, unique."
"Hanging out with them for a few days, I find them, not only brainy, principled, and nervy, but fun you might expect that. They tend to have a gonzo spirit, and an American spirit. They are unabashed in their America-love. The special adviser on financial policy for the party is the frontman of a group called Teddy Trigger and the Gatling Guns. They do rockabilly. Progs have been known to refer to Coke as capitalist water. They revel in what others so many others around them condemn."
"I ask Siv Jensen point-blank whether she regards Islamism radical Islam as a threat on a par with Nazism and Communism. She says, unblinkingly, yes. And, once more, it is a threat, not only to Western civilization (bad enough), but also to those Muslims who wish to live within that civilization: and who may have fled their homelands in order to escape the radicalism they now find choking them in places like Norway."
"Chief among her political models are Reagan he is sitting right behind her and Thatcher. (In 2008, Standpoint magazine in London ran a feature about her titled A Norwegian Thatcher?) And her writer of choice is Ayn Rand: I have read her books over and over again. I just love them. They inspire me, they provoke me, they make me feel alive they force you to reflect on a lot of issues in your society. Has any writer ever received a finer tribute? So, Jensen is a Randian, then? No, not all the way through. Her ideas are a bit too radical for me. But, when I was younger, I got inspired by reading her, and I think everyone could benefit, because she forces you to think and its healthy to think, no matter what your ideology.
Follow me into Kristian Norheims office, please it must be the most politically incorrect room in Scandinavia. There are three posters of Churchill. Theres Reagan, of course: Viva the Reagan Revolution! Theres Barry Goldwater: In your heart you know hes right. Theres a George Washington doll, and a George W. Bush doll. Theres a picture of the Stealth bomber (!). Theres a hat from the New York Fire Department. Theres an Israeli flag, a GOP flag (with elephant), a Gadsden flag (Dont Tread on Me). And thats only a fraction of the inventory."
Will it be a backlash against Multi-cultiralism induced suicide?

Wish us luck :)
Good luck in election.
I’m originally from Minnesota and I know what you are fighting.
Very good people, just badly informed.
Partly, but perhaps not enough.
The Leftist agenda advances by ratchet action, the policies put in place cannot be reversed. How do you take away goodies without “violating rights?”
Are the English translations yours? I don’t see an ‘English’ language option at the link.
GOOD LUCK!!
Well the first exit polls are out. And the good new first:
The socialist have lost massively according to them.
However, the Progress Party has not done as well as I would have hoped and that we need a full coalition to rule.
Some of these parties are imho even worse than the labour party.
Let the horse trading begin :/
And, let us await the real vote count.
The socialist left party (hardcore communists) are hoovering just above the 4 percent mark. If they end up dropping below that it might open up a lot more interesting possibilites.
The conservative fold includes:
Progress Party - The reagintes from the opening post. Also the party that Anders Breivik had been a member of, which no doubt has hurt us
Conservatives - Our old school conservatives. Whilst way better than the labour party, they are by no means American conservatives. Think Cameron and Sarkozy.
The Liberal party - One of the oldest parties in Norway and used to be classical liberal. Now, the are lost in libertarian lalaland, and wants practically free immigration to Norway
The Christian Conservatives - Against abortion etc, but also
“VERY VERY” “compassionate”, when it comes to illegal immigration etc. I do not trust them.
The wildcard is the agrarian party who has ruled with the socialist in this government. They are like the farm lobby, so as long as farmers get their subsidies, I think they could change sides and rule with the conservatives. I would prefer them to both the Liberal party and the Christian conservatives.
The NRK link is to our national state tv, and their live coverage. So it is in Norwegian.
They’re no longer Reaganites if they ever were.
They almost killed their one true conservative, Jan Simonsen. The party is supposed to be pro-Israel, but is full of the most vile antisemites - my sister, who has been active in trying to kill Mesta is one of them. Basically, they’re no different from Labour, infiltrated from the kook-front.
I do agree that frp is not what they used to be.
In fact for the first time in my life, except when I lived abroad, I have not voted.
Siv Jensen has to go.
Though the Progress party is miles better than the Labour party still imho. Though Venstre actually is worse than labour.
As I wrote earlier in the thread, I think getting the agrarian party onboard constitutes the best scenario. Borten Moe is intersting, as is their leader of their youth branch. Give the farmers their subsidies, and get in a healthy common sense party in.
What do you think?
btw. Do you have any example of vile anti semites in the Progress party? That has eluded me.
So in immortal words of Edgar Hansen
They may go Right way, wrong way or Noregiwan way RIGHT
Hope this makes Norway cheaper to visit....and gets rid of the Muslim garbage that stains a very nice nation

Antisemitism and corruption has become as endemic in the FRP as in every other “non-socialist” party in Norway. Whatever they choose to call their boat, they fill it up with leftists, multiculturalists, antisemites and homos.
After Breivik, it is evidently not possible to have a party in Norway without a sharia/leftist kommisar.
The agrarians have been, traditionally, our best hope against the EU. But it is very difficult to have principled politicians in a society that is rotting.
Viz every “christian” outlet in Norway goind islamist. There is this mainstream Christian newspaper, for example, that holds that “the wrong party won at the Gates of Vienna”, and that Europe really should have fallen to the muslims.
Just recently the Swedes decided to destroy their country by giving asylum to any Syrian who asked. Has there been any reaction in Norway to this?
Current count - Conservatives 99, Left 69 Ind 1, Tot 169, Majority 85... Conservatives +14 Maj
So that good right???
