So, lemme get this: you want to replace Boner, who has caved to Odinga numerous times, with West, who voted with Odinga on citizen surveillance and detention, and redistribution of wealth to blacks?
Look those up, too...
How about Sarah Palin or Newt Gingrich?
Remember when we were ALL Americans, sober at the prospect of a war, or of taking some military action, but we were all able to be John Wayne about it in the end, because everything was black and white, our leaders instinctively knew that we knew that some action had to be taken to beat back communism, even before they rang the bell.
WWII showed us our competence and courage and our ingenuity paid off in the factories and our fathers showed up and enlisted to go deliver all of it “over there”. We could trust the American next to us then.
Now it’s so insidious here. Chemical weapons and drones are the future, while espionage, sabatage, propaganda and indoctrination flourish in our schools and institutions. The churches now are therapeutic to draw a crowd, or Spiritless and losing the crowd.
The strangeness of the times has turned us into muses who are confined to ballot battles, one by one. I hope it works, but with no no assault on the source, curriculum, even in sight, I don’t really see where it will ever end.
well, he’s right.
pray for America
Sometimes the aftermath of a forest fire is wonderful new growth ... one can only hope this is the case after Obama exits the stage. Until then it’s “battan down the hatches” time.

By now it's impossible to avoid the conclusion that Obama is fervently anti-American. Which is what you might learn from his personal history, all the way from Mom the Stalinist, to his "mentor" Frank Davis the child pornographer, all the way to the "Reverend" Jerry Wright and the Alinsky Machine in Chicago The only incongruity in the quoted portion above is the qualification "by now." There were many of us who posted countless times before Obama was sworn in that his biography, his autobiography, his associations, and his writings as well is his public statements all compel the conclusion that he was a radical leftist, perhaps a Manchurian Muslim, and no friend of the United States of America.
One might take issue with the author's assessment that Obama is a bumbler, it might be rather that he has a very difficult needle to thread which is to consistently aid the enemies of America, for example, as the author points out, the Muslim brotherhood, while not appearing blatant about it. It is difficult to know exactly what Obama's hidden agenda is but he cannot act entirely as a free agent even among his most trusted White House intimates and certainly not with such public figures as John Kerry or Chuck Hagel. That is not to say that these men share our agenda but it is to say that they would certainly react to any overt act of treason they observed in Obama. At least Obama cannot be certain that they would fail to react.
Finally, it is well to remember that Obama is a radical leftist and that is an animal very different from a leftist like Jimmy Carter. Obama is not Jimmy Carter on steroids. Obama is an entirely different kind of leftist, one who aggressively seeks to diminish America and remove it as the principal obstacle to one world socialism (or a worldwide caliphate if you are in that camp). These aggressive leftists, think Trotsky, chairman Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin are to a man indifferent to human suffering and quite willing to order an effusion of blood to advance their own power. I do not believe for a minute that Obama will shrink from waging war to advance his agenda. I think his problem is to find an inflection point which the public will accept and which advances a cause which the public, if aware of its real purpose, would oppose bitterly.
Rush has discussed Mr. Podhoretz’s column on todays program.
If you read the column you will see that Obama is in fact not an epic fail.
Thank you for being one of the few posters that actually read the column.
Most folks thought The New Yorker was just foolin’ and making fun of conservatives.
I knew that cover was 100% accurate.
I know know how the Brits felt when Chamberlain was in the saddle 'making the world safe for Democracy!'
As to whether Kerry or Hagel would take action if they thought he were engaged in treasonous acts...it depends on what Obama's NSA has on these guys.
Like you, I've never thought Barry was incompetent unless viewed from a traditional American POV. He's done a fine job of destroying the country...and that appears to have always been his goal.
On a more serious note, I wouldn’t be at all surprised in Norman Podhoretz spent his late evenings reading FR threads.
Just a few threads today where the writers assume that Obama is a failure when in fact he is doing exactly as designed. They just don’t get it.

Quote: “Yet if this is indeed the pass to which Mr. Obama has led usand I think it islet me suggest that it signifies not how incompetent and amateurish the president is, but how skillful. His foreign policy, far from a dismal failure, is a brilliant success as measured by what he intended all along to accomplish.’
Oh for eff sakes. This is nice thinking but gives the man far too much credit. The ONE is all about the ONE and not going to do a damn thing that makes himself look or seem foolish. Make no mistake, Syria is doing just that. This article presupposes that he is willing to throw his ego on the fire to bring America down. HA!! He would not throw a hair on his head into the fire much less his ego.
