“California prison officials state in the memo that there are “security concerns and other legitimate penological interests” for why two gay inmates cannot wed.

It’ll be interesting to see if someone challenges that ruling with a lawsuit.”

It’s Californicate and there will be a lawsuit .... the one thing besides the sun coming up each morning is that there will be a lawsuit in Californicate when the queers, freaks and perverts don’t get their way.

I’m told soap on a rope makes an appropriate gay prison wedding gift. And candle sticks.

They’ve been living together anyway. This just makes it official.

No good will come of this.

Federal prisons don't allow conjugal visits (i.e., sexual contact not allowed).

Some state prisons do allow these visits, even having special rooms set up for them.

New York and California now even allow conjugal visits between same-sex married partners (religious OR civil unions).

Wiki has a list of rules of all states regarding conjugal visits. Most facilities require certificates that the partners are AIDs or other STDs-free before these "spouses" drop in for connubial visitations.

I know someone else is going to say this, but what about conjugal visits? It is to laugh. No wonder they won’t allow two prisoners to marry each other. There wouldn’t be one single inmate left. And would you believe constant divorce and remarriage?
