“to display the names in an exhibit at the USS Arizona Memorial visitor’s center.”

That would be a separate smallish exhibit and not with the names of our dead. If you have been to the USS Arizona, you know that is dedicated to our dead. I don’t know if it is still happening, but to see the oil of the sunken ship still rising in the water, takes one back to that time.

As of last year (when I visited the Memorial) the diesel oil was still leaking and the smell was noticeable. Very haunting. There is still an enormous amount of oil in the rusting shell of the Arizonia. Environmentalists are concerned that at some point the rusting hull of the ship will not be able to contain it and a massive oil spill will result, but even they are not proposing to disturb the Memorial.
