I never knew about his wanting to be a policeman until I heard about the dog.

Conservatives hate these wars because with their tradition of patriotism and love of their country they and their loved ones have suffered from these wars in disproportionate numbers.
And what does Obama want to do? Have the military maimed and killed in yet another war, this time to save face. A real man would admit his mistake, say war isn't the answer this time, and be smarter and wiser in the future.
Color me racist then. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that what happens there won’t impact America. Nope, nothing to do with the fact that American servicemen don’t deserve to get sent there and die. Nothing to do with watching history repeat itself and being sick about it. Nope. I’m just a racist hater, that’s all.

Sergeant Schultz, I don’t oppose Obama’s military strike because I hate him. I oppose it because I don’t think he is really on our side.
If the majority of "We The People" oppose an action by our servants in Washington - it is not up to them to question the reason why.

Let me help you Ed. If I had to suffer WWIII, I would not want a fool like Obama running things.
Some of that is no doubt true. But it's not any different than how the Democrats hated Bush and opposed him in Iraq. Even the circumstances are remarkably similar, except this time Obama is all to blame.
Nobody else. His mouth got him into trouble, and now he wants somebody to bail him out. We've already seen him try to wiggle out of responsibility for his "red line" ultimatum, not-so-deftly trying to shift responsibility for this snafu from himself to congress. Obviously, the only people who will buy into that are the people who pay absolutely no attention to what's going on in real life (Obama's natural constituency).
I think the damage he will suffer from all this will not serve our country well. I almost feel a little guilty for enjoying it so much.
