Putin: Chemical weapons allegations against Assad 'ludicrous'

Russian President Vladimir Putin called allegations that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad attacked rebel forces with chemical weapons "ludicrous" Tuesday, and acknowledged that Moscow has provided some components of the S-300 air defense missile system to Syria, but has frozen further shipments.
In a interview with The Associated Press and Russia's state Channel 1 television, Putin suggested that Russia may sell the potent missile systems elsewhere if Western nations attack Syria without U.N. Security Council backing.
"From our viewpoint, it seems absolutely absurd that the armed forces, the regular armed forces, which are on the offensive today and in some areas have encircled the so-called rebels and are finishing them off, that in these conditions they would start using forbidden chemical weapons while realizing quite well that it could serve as a pretext for applying sanctions against them, including the use of force," Putin said regarding the allegations against Assad, a staunch ally of Russia.

It's simply a very sad fact, that the dictator of Russia is more believable and trustworthy than the current president of the united states. Putin's administration also probably can add up more credibility among them, than Obama's den of thieves and liars.
As you say, the world really has gone mad. And unfortunately, the American people are holding the shitty end of the stick.

I wouldn't call Putin a dictator. Scale of one to ten for basic legitimacy of governments, I'd rate Russia's government an 8.5 or a 9 and I'd rate Bork Obunga and whatever the ****'s going on here as about a one or a two at best.
You might want to start practicing pronouncing some of this stuff...
Боже храни Владимира Путина.
(Bozheh hranee Vladimira Putina), means God save Vladimir Putin...

I think I read somewhere that Putin said he has not ruled out using the military in Syria. I’m not sure if he meant FOR or AGAINST Assad.

No Russian leader would be expected to be "our friends" after we bombed a totally innocent Orthodox Christian nation for eighty days and night including Easter Sunday in 1999.
Nonetheless it's still good to have one straight up and honest guy on the world stage to give us a point of reference.

And not one person will come out publicly. How does he get away with it? How does this fly with egotistic politicians of both parties? For some reason he has a lot of power over people. And hundreds, if not thousands, are involved.

It's simply a very sad fact, that the dictator of Russia is more believable and trustworthy than the current president of the united states. It's not just that. Pravda is more reliable than The New York Times.
