A new use-of-force resolution for Syria sets a 60-day deadline, with one 30-day extension possible, for President Barack Obama to launch military strikes against the regime of Syria President Bashar Assad — and it will also bar the involvement of U.S. ground forces in Syria.

Aides to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) were also involved in the discussions over the revised resolution.

I seem to remember the Pristina Airport debacle was a bright spot for the Russians, standing up to the United States.

The world is a powder keg. You think Iran, NK, China, Russia are going to sit on their hands with the American military tied up in Syria? No way hose.

Syria and allies have the right to respond against American assets anywhere, anytime, as they see fit until a formal cessation of hostilities.

No, Syria will have only 30 days to respond. I can’t tell you about it now but will be able to answer your question in a classified hearing tomorrow.

I’m beginning to think the House is going to vote this down, BIG-TIME, based on the whip counts I’ve been seeing.

And DEMOCRATS are clamoring for blood at almost 3-1 rate to Repubs.

EXACTLY....
And reading Russian Press, you can tell they think that is going to happen, too.

Putin put a trip-line in front of Obama, and then dared him to cross it. Obama immediately crapped his pants, and went running to Congress for “approval”.

When he doesn’t get it, he’ll attck anyway, trip-line or not, and blame those meany Repubs for “Obstructing”.

You're right. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul were no help on Egypt. In fact, it is safe to say that no one in Congress understands what is really going on in the Middle East.

Rush's disclosure of the truth today was the first mass media disclosure of the truth, the first major chink in the armor of the deceptors. Rush deserves another medal from us for that poke at the Establishment. He took a big personal risk. With that, we may be able to get Congress to listen.

I am frankly amazed at how long it has taken for Freepers to see the light.

A new use-of-force resolution for Syria sets a 60-day deadline, with one 30-day extension possible, for President Barack Obama to launch military strikes against the regime of Syria President Bashar Assad — and it will also bar the involvement of U.S. ground forces in Syria.

Let’s get this straight: We will, for a minimum of 60 days (with a possible 30 day extension), attack Syria because Assad’s regime is supposedly guilty of using chemicals and gas to kill the Syrian people. We still are not really sure it was Assad…it could have been the rebels, infiltrated with Jihadists. Which is why we cannot get any of our allies to back any military action. But, that is not important. Obama wants to make a move that proves he is a man of his word about that “red line,” that is the priority for him now.

So, supposedly we are only going to strike the targets where damage can be done to the supplies of chemicals and the devises used to dispel them. Of course all this has been told to the world so that whoever used the chemicals has had the opportunity to hide everything that they do not want destroyed. We strike…people are bound to be killed…perhaps as many as were killed by the chemicals.

But death by bombs or missiles or drones is not as distasteful to our Administration as death by chemicals, I guess. And for what point are we doing this? The strike does not bring those people, who died from the chemicals and gasses, back to life. But, Obama says we must strike… and after 60-90 days we tell them we are going to stop.

And so they wait…and then the guilty parties trot out their chemicals and gasses again and thumb their noses at the U.S. and all was in vain. Sounds like Obama has a great plan to waste our money, our military, and needless to say, more Syrian lives. Just what a Nobel Peace Prize winner should do.

Sometimes Ann can sound a bit shrill, yet this time, I think she pretty much nails it with the only explanation so far than makes any sense as far as behavior of President Dystopia and the American legislature: The MB must have the drop on Obama and they are ready to expose him as a fraud/foreigner/funder of MB, unless he does their bidding and bombs the crap out of Damascus.
