In a week when we celebrated one of the greatest speeches in history, we also saw discrimination win over science. Again. Ideology defeated reason. As a scientist, I was saddened in a way I am not usually wont.

The Great State of Vermont threw away cheap clean energy this week out of ignorance and fear. Vermont chose to be stupid, and will hurt the environment as a sidebar.

Starting in the 60’s filthy,drug ridden hippies focused on Vermont as a new Shangri La.It’s close to their homes in Boston and Westchester Country and was sparsely populated enough to easily take over,which is exactly what they did.Lesbians in Birkenstocks and 1960’s bombers with gray ponytails now choke the streets of Burlington,the state’s only real city.

What do you expect from the state that elects the likes of Leaky Leahy and Bernie the Commie Sanders. It’s like the really off the rails Commies from A$$achusetts migrated north to Vermont and set up shop. If you’ve ever been to Burlington, you have an idea of what East Berlin looks like. What an absolute dump of a city. Must all be on the dole there.

Entergy inc to close the nuclear plant providing 70% of the state’s energy, it does not appear the Vermont state government has a say in this so I don’t know what’s up with the headline.

There’s not enough work there, and what jobs that are there don’t pay much. NH has/had the free state movement & that did not amount to anything. A lot of well-off retired folks are moving to the 3 northern New England states & they seem to be turning the place more blue:(

There are a few thousand conservatives in Essex County...way out in the upper right corner of the state. Even liberals balk at 50 below zero.

Howard Dean, born in New York...Bernie Sanders, born in New York...Congressman Peter Welch, born in Assachusetts...only Leahy (spit) was actually born in Vermont.
