Neighbors and law enforcement officers are praising a Texas teenager for shooting two burglars he caught in his grandmothers house. One of the suspects died; the other is in serious condition.
The burglars, identified as Charles Allen Dixon and Michael McDaniel, showed up in the grandmothers Baytown house at 5:30 on Wednesday morning. The grandmothers house had been the target of burglars before, because it was vacant since shed been put in a nursing home. The teen had moved into the house, apparently in part to protect his grandmothers possessions from invaders.
The teen confronted Dixon and McDaniel with a shotgun and ordered them to put their hands up. When they ignored his order, he shot them. Dixon died on the scene. McDaniel was wounded, but able to escape. He later went to a local hospital for treatment, and was in serious condition. Burglary charges against him are pending. The woman who drove him to the hospital has been questioned as a possible accomplice.

Nope.
This is Texas.
Plus the range.
God Bless Texas!
One and maybe two less POS that the tax payers will have to support.
First good news today.
At less than 30 feet it don't matter.
The two gentlemen should have heeded the boy’s command.
They probably came from lifetimes of second chances, bluffing through the system, and getting their way.

That’s right. #8 birdshot is way plenty that close up.
Texan children are frequently taught to shoot between the ages of three and six. And this is the result of early firearms training.
It was meant to be sarcastic.
Would you prefer “the recently deceased and the perforated survivor”?
