Isn’t that a line from a Dio song? Pretty sure. Anyway, the path up is OUT, get out of fast food, it’s the bottom of the service. Did 6 years there, know it well. When people in your industry WANT to become grocery store clerks (that seemed to be my store’s favorite escape path) your job sucks.
Not the exact line, but I think pretty close. The song is “The Last In Line” (not sure if “The” belongs). Title track from his 2nd CD. You probably know this already.
BTW, did you know that Dio is listed in the credits of “Atlas Shrugged”...must have donated to the production. Sadly he died before Part II was filmed.
