Egyptian security services arrested on Wednesday a retired U.S. officer and 12 jihadis in Sheikh Zuwayed, North Sinai, German news agency DPA quoted a security source as saying.
The U.S. national possessed documents, some including information on Sinai.
The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the U.S. officer is being interrogated by authorities in Arish without giving further details on the documents or circumstances of the arrest.
The American national arrested on Tuesday was referred to a military prosecutor in Ismailia to be interrogated, said a security source.

What is spread on Henry being “Amish” and a Muslin convert?
US Agent carrying out operations to make it appear Assad launched a poison gas attack to justify US intervention in Syria?
Does “my muslim faith” mean that 0bama is aiding the Muslim Brotherhood in illegal violence in Egypt?!
What is spread on Henry being Amish and a Muslin convert?
I'll bet he's really Dutch and part of the centuries-old Dutch conspiracy to corner the tulips market and take over the world.

SNIPPET: “State media reported that the man - named as James Henry and described as a retired US army officer - was arrested on Al-Arish road for breaking a curfew in place across 14 Egyptian provinces. The curfew was decreed as part of the state of emergency imposed by the interim Egyptian government, as part of its attempts to quell violent unrest over the ouster of former president Muhammed Morsi.
The 55 year-old US citizen was reportedly on his way to Gaza at the time of his arrest, although it was not clear what the purpose of his trip was or why he chose to break the curfew, which is in force from 9pm to 6am daily.”
