A while ago, I wrote an article about my wife, Marlene, and her struggles with vertigo. When the article appeared, I was unprepared for the tidal wave of response from readers offering encouragement, help, suggestions and, mostly, concern for her well-being. These messages came from all over the world, from people in all walks of life. Expressions of loving concern for my wife poured in to the point where we could not even begin to answer them all. It was overwhelming in the best kind of way to see the body of Christ respond to Marlenes struggle. We were, and remain, deeply grateful.
At its core, this is how the body is supposed to work. Loving concern for our brothers and sisters in Christ becomes the evidence that we have experienced His love. While addressing the disciples at the Last Supper, Jesus said, A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples (John 13:34-35).
Marlene and I experienced a sampling of Christlike love and concern in those letters we received. With the help of our Savior and as a way of praising Him, may we show others that kind of love as well.

~ And Not To Forget ~
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...did you have your bestest students today?
Is Lynn-Dah finished with her antibiotics yet? Still vacuuming each day?
|
Wednesday is Classic Rock Day!
11 year old Natalie is soloing in Stairway to heaven and Uncle John’s Band.
It just doesn’t get any better than that! :-)
Lynn-dah has a few days of antibiotics left, and is starting to get her youthful mojo back.
However, the trauma aged her, and she has a lot more grey hair than she had before.
Even after the tick danger is past, i think we will still have our vacuuming sessions. She likes it and I watch a classic movie while i groom her.
Yesterday it was “Becket”.
Good evening, Sand...((HUGS))
We are forever thankful for their part in keeping us free and safe.
G’Day, Janey...((HUGS))...that bookmark works for me.
When we leave the sand pit, and they fall back into the dark ages, I hope and pray that such positive gestures our soldiers make to the children will always remind them of the truth about our military men and women.
Good evening, Connie, and thank you for the tributes to our troops. *hugs*
A safe commute today? Is it still hot? Did you get any rain?
We are supposed to have a “chance” of rain for the next few days.
Evenin Kathy, Thank you!
