Sen. Tim Scott, R.-S.C., the only African American serving in the United States Senate, wasn't invited to the event commemorating the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's march on Washington, though a host of Democratic luminaries spoke on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Senator Scott was not invited to speak at the event, Greg Blair, a spokesman for the South Carolina lawmaker, said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.

As the DNC is now focused on Latinos , we shall see blacks not only pushed to the back of the bus, but off of it entirely.
They chose poorly.
ie you aren’t a real black if you aren’t on the dnc plantation.
Chose their plantation masters, in preference to their liberators. What a sad commentary.
He’s just not black enough.
he’s more black than president half-n-half.
I doubt the Senator is badly upset.
What decent person would want to be on a platform with the dung that was there.
He should have just walked over there this morning and ‘ask’ park service to find him a seat ‘up real close’. then tweet every news agency there is.
Well of course Barky is black enough because he’s on the plantation train.
he’s more black than president half-n-half.
I listened for 20 minutes during late morning and thought it sounded more like a Democratic Party rally than a commemoration of MLK’s 1963 speech - especially the signs and T-sheets.
Dissent will not be tolerated by the tolerant party (unless it's directed at those you do not tolerate).
It was the “content of his character.” Tim Scott is a Republican, a staunch conservative, and a fine man. On all three points he would have been a poor fit with that crowd.
My guess is that he had the common sense not to be anywhere near that charade.
It was only for left wing democrats, most Black people and the media. Everyone else is tired of hearing about racial grievance.
“.......Thank God at last , For these here free obamaphones, ebt cards, and African American Studies degree programs at universities everywhere”
When the only Black on the NINE SUPREMES, and the only Black US Senator are excluded from the MLK jr Watershed Speech 50 th Anniversary Celebration, it is not difficult to jump to the conclusion that The Black Race Lobby in America is less interested in equality and superior achievement for Blacks than it is interested in excluding Blacks who do not agree with them politically.
If Blacks have become exclusive rather than inclusive toward their own Race, then what chance have any Non-Black Races of working together with Blacks?
Has this “Exclude anyone who does not think like you” attitude been taught to them by White Democrat Politicians?’
Was this tactic used by White Democrat Politicians to return the Blacks to the Plantation Model, where only “Da Man” tells you what to think?
Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr. Allen Keyes, and Dr. Carson are all Black intellectuals of note.
Were any of them invited to the MLK jr Speech Celebration?
If not, why not?
If “The Dream” in the speech is to become a reality, it must first start with Blacks including Blacks.
This simple first gesture would be a great example to all Races that seek “The Dream” of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior.
What would Scott expect?
Who wants to be invited by a bunch of communist soreheads to speak to a bunch of disenchanted hogs?
