Maybe to make the reader think it was “high capacity” and say something about the relative affluence of the intended victim relative to his attacker? Sorry, doesn’t work on me. At only ten round he should have a backup mag, and relative income means nothing to me.

Something will be brought up later about the disparity of; and unavailability of weapons to "lower class" who would be unable to afford them, I bet. (Heh, I'm considered "poor" and I found deals on weapons).
