The game was called "point 'em out, knock 'em out," and it was as random as it was brutal.
The object: Target an innocent victim for no other reason than they are there, then sucker punch him or her.
But on this day in Lansing, there would be no punch. The teen-age attacker had a stun gun. He did not know his would-be victim was carrying a legally concealed pistol.
The teen lost the game

The 17-year-old in gym shorts approached his target. The 28-year-old Lansing man was waiting for his daughter at her school-bus stop at REO Road and Ballard Street.
....The teen had two friends nearby - dropped off by a third friend in a van after they scouted their target. They knew what Marvell Weaver was going to do. They had discussed it.
Weaver approached his victim from behind, a black KL-800 Type Stun Gun in his pocket. It is capable of generating 1.8 million volts.
He passed him and turned back, pressed the stun gun into the victim’s side. Again and again, and … nothing. It had fired earlier when testing it, he would later tell police.
“The button was like stuck down … or something. I don’t know what caused it not to work,” according to a transcript of Weaver’s statement.
‘Please don’t kill me’
The intended victim moved quickly, pulling his stainless steel .40-caliber Smith and Wesson. It had a full 10-bullet magazine, and was worth about $900 police estimated.
He shot Weaver in his buttocks as the teen turned to flee.
“It happened so fast I wasn’t sure. I just know something was shoved into my side. I wasn’t sure if it was a knife, if it was anything,” he told police.
Weaver ran, sat down across the street, his leg going numb, bleeding. Pleading.

Years ago I had a similar incident while going into a local mall with my teenaged daughter. We were walking toward the entrance and there was an amish yoot walking in the opposite direction. Suddenly he lunged toward us cocking his arm like he was going to throw a punch. I ducked and started to reach back to draw but by then he had stopped and had clearly been bluffing just to make me flinch. I think he noticed my reaction and threw his hands up, pointed and said something like “just foolin” as he kept walking. I said, “Yeah, its your lucky day”. I hope that jerk learned his lesson.
My take, too. It is unfair to be shot in the ass with a Kimber, when the perp is on food stamps! Insult to injury!
I think having the perp survive with perferated buttocks has even more of a deterrent effect than if he had been killed. If he were a dead perp, we would be hearing about Trayvon II. But a live perp is a nasty little jerk for all to see.

I don’t have to go to the link to know this was another of “0 bummer’s sons”. People are getting fed up with the feral yutes. I don’t care what his grampa, grama, mamma, or absent sperm donor says, he was a POS. I would have made sure this feral yute was ready for the morgue.
I don’t care if he was an aspiring rapper who had started turning his life around and was getting ready to go back to schrewl this year. A few more of these incidents, and 0 bummer’s sons will think twice about attacking someone at random.
He has just as much room for justice as the Ft Hood terrorist had, who should never had a trial. If I had been there that day, I would have grabbed his gun and emptied an entire magazine into his skull.

Would have been better had the victim dropped his attacker for good.

And even better later in the same article: “He said he did not know the status of the referral, but anticipated prosecutors may not pursue charges in the near future due to concerns over medical expenses the county would have to pay if it jails the teenager...”
Why not charge him? Try the S.O.B.! If he is paralyzed the taxpayer is going to be footing the bill for his criminally induced disability claim and E.B.T. card anyway. Might as well put him the slammer to cut down on his breeding options. Side benefit is he won’t be limping along slowing down the supermarket checkout line!
It’s just a game. Just teens. Nothing to be upset over. Savage feral future inmates attack a person for fun, and it’s just a game.
But let a WHITE man put on an 0bama mask and ride a horse, or Paula Deen is accused of something 20 years ago, or a salesclerk does what all salesclerks do, and it’s BIG OUTRAGE!
THAT is what’s wrong with the country.

I didn’t read if the two “nearby friends of the attacker” ever went to help their friend. I expect the cowards didn’t dare.
The feral subhuman slug scum is being charged with illegal possession of a stun gun, and the ‘teen’ is free on bond.
No hate crime charge. No assault. No attempted murder.
It’s just a game.
