How would statehood improve things? It wouldn't improve anything for DC or for the USA, but it would give the Democrats two safe Senate seats, one of them to be held for life by Jesse Jackson, the other by a clone of Jesse Jackson.

What a wonderful idea!
In the future, whenever anyone brings up MLK's legacy, I will post the aftermath of Maumau's first inauguration...
And perhaps a few of Obama sons' murder mug shots...

Typical of the left. You can guess the politics of any protest or gathering by how much trash they leave behind. People on the left treat the world and others with contempt - they trash everything they touch..

I saw an apartment right beside a railroad track in Memphis not far from where King was shot. The trash all along the building between it and the tracks had garbage about 4 feet high. It had 5 stories and it was obvious they were throwing their garbage off the balconies. Too lazy to walk down to the garbage dumpster is my conclusion.

I’m sure MLK is rolling in his grave, no matter what you might think about him, I don’t believe what is going on now was his intention.
Every city I’ve been in that has a MLK Street, Blvd,
or Ave...are total cesspools, some of them start out ok, but progressively, almost immediately regress.

Go to any big city and look at a certain area of town. Probably daily looks like the National Mall after this event.

Is this Martin Luther Kings legacy? National Mall covered in garbageOf course it is. It has been for decades, but it's SO racist to point it out.

The grounds of the MLK anni aftermath and every MLK section of cities and towns across the USA
are his legacy....they show what happens when you give people
*FREE STUFF* and never make them work a day to earn what they have.
Some legacy, right Dims?

We were at the Tea Party rally in WDC a few years ago. Even with 1,000,000-2,000,000 people there, was not an ounce of trash strewn about. I’[d say it is all about character and personal ethics.
