One year after RNC, Bush, Rubio lose luster
Tampa Tribune ^ | 8/25/13 | William March

As recently as six months ago, Florida, a state with a poor record for producing presidential candidates, appeared to be striking gold at last.

Former Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio were among the top three or four candidates, sometimes at the very top, in nearly every poll of Republicans on the 2016 presidential nomination. They had starring roles at the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa one year ago this week, with Rubio introducing nominee Mitt Romney.

Today, things look different.

-snip-

Called a traitor and a “RINO,” or “Republican in name only,” over immigration reform by some of his earliest backers among the tea party movement, Rubio has been using the August recess to mend fences.

Yeps, that’s a fact. FR is first in its class.

Lost their luster?

Wonder why?

What do Amnesty Jeb and Amnesty Marco have in common?

Could it be their position on, say, amnesty for illegals?

While we are worrying about the Hispanics coming across our southern border, O Muslims from Syria are pouring in through our airports, every single day, carrying everything that they own. They are not planning on going home.

That’s because the very name “Bush” brings back painful memories of a president who while protecting us from terrorism failed miserably at defending himself and us at home from traitors within. He created the foundation for Obama’s election and he created the agency that has become Obama’s own personal army, the DHS which is riddled with America-hating ideologues.

Open-checkbook George was also instrumentally responsible for the economic crisis that hit, starting in early 2007 and continuing to this day. Also, the creation of DHS and the Patriot Act. Add in the initial NSA spying. The list gets longer.

The Bush name is toxic and should remain so for the next 75 years.

Watch the “self-identifying” racial anything.

Your bigotry is showing.

Cubans hate Mexicans and Mexicans hate Cubans.

I know. I’ve been married to a Cuban (legally naturalized) for 25+ years.

Raise your eyes from your television. They’re not the same.

And Rubio? His loyalty is to Washington’s master:

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Note to the Tampa Tribune: The RNC think Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush are presidential timber? I don’t think so, Skippy. Try again, RINO losers.

Occupation Former First Lady of Florida
Predecessor Anne Selph

Religion Roman Catholic[citation needed]
Spouse(s) Jeb Bush (m. 1974)

Which Bush was that said, “We love our brown babies...”? I never expected the Bush’s to take a stand against amnesty. I think they’re looking to make George P. the first hispanic president. He’s already a rising star on Univision for name recognitian and makes campaign stumps in...ta da...Mexico! “But the visit also served to remind the Latino community that he is there and to let them know that his uncle (Dubya) and the whole family understand the Latino experience.”

Any person that is currently being push by the GOPE or the enemedia is permanently off my list of eligible candidates.
Any person being pushed by the so called conservative talking head zombies of the GOPE is off my list permanently.
If a candidate can show me by a life time record of conservative thought, voting record and positions I will consider that candidate.
In other words no Bushes, no Rubio’s and sure as hell no pig eyed sacks of lieing lard like Crisco Kristy.

Schumer and his ilk can chalk up a victory over this. They suckered Rubio to ruin his chances of a 2016 bid and he fell for it hook, line and sinker. We have to add McCain and Graham to that as well - they thought they had their finger on the pulse of the nation and the conservatives - hah! Why do people think McCain is the face of the Republican party? His face is more akin to a jackass - he needs to change parties and get it over with.

In my last exchange with you, you brought up your Cuban wife of 25+years....you did it again while calling me a bigot.

Personally I can’t think of anything more prejudged and bigoted than saying “Cubans hate Mexicans hate Cubans” which was part of your reply to me.
