Democratic minority leader of the House stoked up the crowd with her speech. Pelosi urged Congress to act on MLKs agenda by saying, He would want us to celebrate him, his birth and his legacy by acting upon his agenda. By realizing the dream. By making the minimum wage a living wage. By having not just family and medical leave, but having paid sick leave for our workers. By having quality affordable childcare so that our families, the power of women can be unleashed in our economy and our society.
Democrats are on the warpath, pressing their advantage with hard sells of the Democratic agenda. Instead of apologizing for the liberal agenda, Democrats are embracing it, owning it, claiming it and framing it properly so that they can demand why everyone isnt on board with it. Kentuckys Democratic Governor Steve Beshear owned the ObamaCare fight in public, socking it to a rather stunned Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul.

I am freaking tired of the idiots. Let’s be done with this. Raise the stupid minimum wage to 25 bucks per hour and be done with. Burgers will cost 30 bucks a pop. Unemployment will hit 20 pct and the economy will implode and we can get this war started! I’ve got 40k rounds of 223 and implements to utilize them. Let’s get it on!
And that will do what?
Tell people that are to lazy to improve that the Government will carry them?
If you can not live on minumum wage then aspire to do better. Look for a different job, get educated, go into the military and get job training etc. etc. But the Democrats answer is you are to stupid or too lazy or to whatever to improve on your own so let us “the Government” take care of you. You think that comes free? You will learn...........
That’s a good question. Was Dr King’s content of character phrase even mentioned? Or, was this another “Wellstone” event?
Was the Geico lizard there pushing saving a lot of money on car insurance as part of King’s “I have a dream”.
I truly believe at this point the only people that truly honor Martin Luther King Jr’s message are white conservatives.
The states have never amended the Constitution to grant Congress the specific power to regulate intrastate wages.
Yeah, cuz didn’t MLK’s speech go “I had a dream, and it’s for a living wage.”?
They way they stuff words in dead people’s mouths, I want to know when Pelosi is going to come out with the ad of MLK dancing around the room with his new Hoover “Hope and Change” vacuum cleaner.
When has this stopped Congress? They have forced us all to buy health insruance or be jailed and fined.
RESET will be coming. And in computer lingo, it is going to be a hard reset.
I believe that MLK specifically said that pee-louse-ee should be in prison.i
Why on earth does she believe MLK would work for minimum wage?
Or maybe that was last month?
Pelosi Statement on Cesar Chavez DayPelosi Statement on Cesar Chavez Day - March 30, 2013:
"Today, the spirit of Cesar Chavez lives on in our ongoing fight for progress for the Hispanic community and for the American people. It continues in the fight to make the minimum wage a living wage and to ensure equal pay for equal work.
Who will she honor with a living wage next month?
-PJ
Course she gave her hotel an exemption from minimum wage helping her make over $100 Million.
Pray for America to Wake Up
I say OK if she and her hubby have to pay the same to their workers in American Samoa.
Uhhhh, wasn't it the Honorable(/s) Horrible Pelosi that tried to exempt Samoa from the last minimum wage increase. The very island that contains Starkist, heavily invested in by her husband and a huge San Fran contributor to her coffers? That Honorable Pelosi?
It's just amazing what the low info voter will swallow.
I have not yet been ade aware of his presence it he was on location....
$100 an hour??? Why not just pay everyone a million a year and solve all the problems!
See the pictures from the speeches after they left the mall?
Place was trashed! After 8/28? cleaner than before.
Any questions?
