I’ve been with Progressive for 15 years. What’s a good conservative alternative?
Triple A
After I bought my car I searched for insurance, ALLSTATE, GEICO and Progressives came not in consideration. Travelers Insurance gave me the best quotes for my needs. USAA is also very good, but you can only get this if you are active military, or retired military or a spouse.
I never had anything to do with any of the five listed.
As for Auto insurance, I had GEICO all of my driving life
in the US (40+ years). I never had a moments trouble with them.
Since I am no longer in the USSA, I have no idea how they rate now.
USAA
Don’t know about “conservative” but for car insurance suggest you shop it and include Erie if they’re in FL. Here is a JD Powers list of insurance company rankings. Look under auto insurance.

USAA - been with them for over 30 years.
From talking w/ friends, USAA if you qualify.
I have had State Farm all my long, 50+yrs. driving life and have never had a problem.Their service has been terrific the few times I’ve used it.
Were I to switch, the first place I’d call is USAA. Whether I could qualify is the question.
We use Allstate for all of our domestic needs (cars, home, boat, etc) mainly because we have a family member who runs an office (and they are 3rd generation), so we get good service.
Allstate does not do business insurances or bonds for contractors, so our business was handled through Farmers, believe it or not (and we were not farmers).
Our whole and term life insurance is Transamerica. Not much on service, sort of “get it and forget it”, which I kind of like because they don’t pester us with phone calls.
I’m sure all three of these companies probably has some liberal causes, just by the sheer size of them but I digress, I really have no idea.
Liberty Mutual.
USAA a good alternative to progressive.

There are plenty out there to choose from
I have had the same State Farm agent for 24 years... and my parents had his father as theirs for the 17 years prior to that. Even when I moved out of state, and the insurance might be cheaper, I kept my vehicle registered back “home”... partly for the security of having a World Class agent that was always superaccommodating... but my old diesel car no long needs to be inspected in that state anymore.
If you or your parent is a military veteran then USAA is a great alternative.
USAA
When you see the word PROGRESSIVE read: LEFTIST.
Whenever you see the word PROGRESSIVE read: LEFTIST.
Wouldn’t hurt to SAY LEFTIST too.
Time to uncover the rot.
