I’ve been with Progressive for 15 years. What’s a good conservative alternative?

100% dead on correct.

But the last couple times I said freepers were funding the demise of America through their refusal to cut dish/cable, several put Football and Nascar above it...because they just had to be entertained.

Before we can do what this article says, and we should, we collectively need to get our priorities straight.

Or keep funding the companies and the propaganda. Facts do not lie.

I was a big fan of Starbucks but switched to Gevalia. Also switched to Liberty Mutual and saved $.

Happy to report I have nothing to do with any of them. I find them all odious, in particular Capitol 1 and AARP. And I hate coffee.

Lots of reasons to boycott Starbucks, but over-roasted bad coffee is high on the list.

I also stopped shopping at Target. I only eat fast food when on the road, and I always look for a Chic-fil-A

Collapse the system. Destroy the republican party which has held us in slavery. Let us leave their plantation. Then we can truly rebuild a free nation(s).

Don’t do business with any of them and never have. Don’t go to see hollywood’s movies either or worship football or anything but the one true God...wish I didn’t have to donate to the world’s self-gratification of self and hatred of God and His Ways through my tax dollars. But that’s part of what the Bible describes for these days in 2 Timothy 3:1-13.

Believers live in the world, but are not of the world. Jesus prayed for us in John 17 and His prayer is most certainly answered by the Father. The glory which He gave the Son, the Son has given to His disciples (true followers), that they maybe one, just as the Son and the Father are one.

No problem avoiding any of them except Chrysler, because I like my Jeep and I don’t like the alternatives.

I agree with the list with the exception of starbucks. They are very gun carry friendly. As a matter of fact the grabbers are trying to organize a boycott today. I think I’ll get a refresher while OCing to say thanks.

Their coffee is burnt, but I don’t buy that anyways.

Some liberals are organizing a boycott of Starbucks over their policy of welcoming concealed carry patrons. So may not be 100% bad.
I never go there.
The few times I had ‘boutique’ coffee I went to Caribou Coffee. Liked it better. Then found out they were owned by Muslims out of Minneapolis. Whether that is still true I don’t know.
Had a Capital One CC many years ago. Awful, awful company.
Don’t like Target, as a retailer and otherwise.
Knew about Progressive.
Don’t like Cryslers

The article is spot on.
Believe me, having an ultra-liberal in the family, they don’t hesitate to avoid anything that they perceive as conservative. Esp. entertainers.
Until a few years ago I was pretty tolerant of entertainers, and mentally separated their personal from their business lives.
Not anymore. We aren’t regular movie goers but I’ve foregone several because of the cast.
Outspoken liberal? no
Racist? no (and this list is really getting long and disappointing)

I wouldn't buy GEICO (which stared as Government Employees Insurance Company, but I guess we all work for the gov now under obama) because of the stupid lizard and their recent completely stupid radio commercials that irritate the heck out of me. The voice of the guy who reads them makes me want to scream, too.

Something like, "Your wallet would like to take you to the county fair. But he can't do that. Wallets can't drive!" Ha. Ha. Great humor for first-graders. That's supposed to make me want to buy their insurance?

No, I don’t do business with any of the listed,
and I don’t support hollywood libs in any way.

I won’t even watch their movies on TV reruns.

A lot of us Conservatives feel the same way.

I think this article is missing its target by a bit,
it should be pointing a bit more to the center.

Fortunately I’ve never been involved with any of those companies.

Never been to a Starbucks. Heard too many stories about burnt coffee. Why even bother? IMHO, Dunkin Donuts has pretty good coffee.

Some people say we should boycott GM, for many of the same reasons that Chrysler is on this list. I agree. However, full disclosure: I drive a GM pickup truck. But it is a 2004 model so GM made money on the truck long before their problems came to a head. Good truck.

the biggest flaw conservatives have is being overly tolerant...

Conservatives have been politically corrected by the Left for quite some time. The Left equated intolerance with hate, bigotry and racism. From our compassion comes our tolerance. And, it is through our compassion that our enemies will attack us. The illegal aliens take advantage of our compassion/tolerance. CAIR/Muslims takes advantage our compassion/tolerance. The MSM takes advantage of our compassion/tolerance.

I also boycott companies based on their advertising especially the treatment of white males who, with a rare exception, are generally the only groups made to look foolish in ads. Progressive was the first, pre-Flo days, when they had a chick watching her man via a web cam and she then used a scissors to cut near his private parts.

Though I forget the company, I remember one ad with a male getting hit in the privates and as he was in pain, his daughter laughed. The mother said “Don't laugh at daddy, that is mommy's job.” She then pointed and laughed. I saw the ad once, I hope people complained to the degree that it was removed from the airwaves.

Fiat and KFC have ads where a woman slaps a man in the face.

I saw a full page ad in the USA Today yesterday about public schools. There were five faces, none of which was a white boy, and the AFL-CIO was a sponsor.

And Ad Council. Where do I start with that bigotry that they produce?

United Auto Workers ended up owning 55% of the company.

Fiat is the majority owner now. I would also add that unlike GM the US Treasury no longer owns any shares of Chrysler.

So why did this article pick on Chrysler, cherry picking the facts while avoiding GM?

Chrysler isn't a corporation with a liberal union attached; it's a liberal union with a corporation attached to it.

This is now wrong (and has been wrong for over two year).
