Fort Hood gunman unanimously guilty on all charges

FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) -- Army Maj. Nidal Hasan was convicted Friday in the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood, a shocking assault against American troops at home by one of their own who said he opened fire on fellow soldiers to protect Muslim insurgents abroad.

The Army psychiatrist acknowledged carrying out the attack in a crowded waiting room where unarmed troops were making final preparations to deploy to Afghanistan and Iraq. Thirteen people were killed and more than 30 wounded.

Because Hasan never denied his actions, the court-martial was always less about a conviction than it was about ensuring he received the death penalty. From the beginning of the case, the federal government has sought to execute Hasan, believing that any sentence short of a lethal injection would deprive the military and the families of the dead of the justice they have sought for nearly four years.

A jury of 13 high-ranking military officers reached a unanimous guilty verdict in about seven hours. Hasan had no visible reaction as the verdict was read. In the next phase of the trial, they must all agree to give Hasan the death penalty before he can be sent to the military's death row, which has just five other prisoners. If they do not agree, the 42-year-old could spend the rest of his life in prison.

I’m with you Nully...let the paralyzed piece of crap spend the rest of his life in a hole with no human contact. Deny this scum the martyrdom that he craves.

Needle Noodle has had it pretty good waiting for trial. He’s been off-post staying in a nearby county jail and getting choppered back and forth to the courtroom with time in between in an office to work on his “defense”.

Now that he’s convicted he’s going straight to federal prison-—no more bennies-—so he’s going to get a severe taste of the frugal life . Regardless of the eventual sentence he will have at least gotten some time in a very quiet place. He might give up oiling the wheels on his chair just to hear them squeak. And that jihady beard he wanted to grow for the trial? Now nobody cares and it’s gone too. Life gets harder when you turn out to be a dumbass.

“When do his paychecks stop ? ..... after he is executed in thirty or forty years ?”

Obama’s probably got a bonus coming to him. The IRS got theirs this year - not kidding.

"I’d stick him on a farm shovelin pig poop w/ a live web cam broadcastin"

There's always that!

I'm going to double up prayers tonight.

Its just easy to dismiss him as a human being. He murdered; he maimed. Countless family and friends of the victims have to live with this for the rest of their lives.

And, to call it "workplace violence" and deny purple hearts is just too much.

... while they’re at it, they can execute Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Ramzi bin alShibh, the two scum involved in 9/11.

That works for me.

Sew him alive in a pig carcass the load him into a B-52 and give him a HALO insertion in mecca without a parachute but with oxygen so he will be wide awake upon landing.

I’m still for the ‘zombie” option.
Find recipients for his organs then remove them.
Dispose of his empty carcass however.
He would be undead.
Hows them apples Muslim?

Would that be argued as being "double jeopardy" or would civilian court be the first trial and not "double jeopardy" because this trial was a military trial?

So far as I know double jeopardy comes into play when you are found not guilty. In that situation the prosecuter cannot go back to the drawing board to put a better case together and retry you. Someone found guilty can always appeal the verdict and hope to eventually be found not guilty.

There are probably some differences between civilian and military trials but there are others here more knowledgeable about that.

Obama has to sign off on the death warrant personally. Obama has to be pissed, he actually has to make a decision that is going to piss people off no matter what he decides. Remember, his side is anti-death penalty and if he doesn’t sign, we are going to beat him up for being soft on terrorism.

Yeah, but if you kill him he becomes a martyr and inspires a zillion other morons to do the same in allahs name (pig urine be upon him)

He is paralyzed and confined to a wheel chair. Sit that bitch in SuperMax. We can all send him bacon sandwiches while he rots. Military justice is a whole different game than civilian justice.

Only takes ONE of those sitting in judgement to think the death penalty is wrong to secure his end in prison.

The Army has not executed a soldier forever. I worked on death penalty cases in the Army and none of them have been executed. Even though they got the death penalty. THE PRESIDENT AS COMMANDER IN CHIEF HAS TO SIGN THE EXECUTION ORDER. Does anyone think the slob in the White House will sign to execute one of his muzzie brothers????

Yep. Appeal for “incompetent representation” is on the way.

I think you waive the right to make that appeal when you choose to represent yourself.

"They’re going to do that anyway.

Cover him in pork grease and fill the syringe with pork fat.

---------------------------------------------------

The more I think about it, the more I'm going with "Team Death Penalty".

I think it should happen with no fanfare, and it should be as soon as the penalty phase is over - providing he is given death sentence.

We have to deal with the Islamic Batsh*ts anyway, so get it done quickly and just go about the business of eradicating the murder cult of Islam.

If this strings out too long, that gives the Muslims time to think what they can do to hurt America again.

He admitted he did it; he's probably wanting to go to Allah as a martyr and have a look at the 72 virgins asap. So, if he wants to martyr himself, we should be good neighbors and help him along the way and just get back to business as usual.

I'd still like to stick it to his compadres by water boarding him 'til he gives up all information that he knows and that we don't know.

Acting on prime information from Hassan, engage the enemy and leave the area with signs that say:

"That was from (or for) Nidal Hassan" on the front and "What do you say, stupid?" on the back.

I guess he could be imprisoned re: stuff like Benghazi, etc.

What am I saying?!

Obama and Clinton have friends in high places; Hassan would soon be room temperature!

If Arabs demand him back, act sheepish and in low voice, tell them:

"We lost him - paperwork got messed up. The left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing, etc.

Tell the Muslims, Nidal has been spilling his guts telling US the Muslim Brotherhood secrets and strategies.

Then say : "we lost him" and make it look like he really was lost so that enemies within can't rat out a plan.

IMHO, of course!
