Egypts deposed autocrat Hosni Mubarak is expected to be freed from prison and placed under house arrest on Thursday after being ordered released the previous day, following more than two years in detention.
The development is a new twist in the saga of the long-time president, toppled in Egypts popular uprising in 2011, and could potentially stoke tensions in the deeply divided nation. It could also amplify the anger against the military-backed government and Islamist allegations that last months military coup against Mubaraks successor, Mohammed Morsi, was a step toward restoring the old regime.
In a statement, Tamarod warned against releasing Mubarak, saying it would be a threat to national security.

I hope he makes a public speech or writes a book, taking Obama apart, bit by bit...waiting.
Notice Tamarod’s position, though. They are making it clear that they are rejecting Mubarak and what went with his regime, which would include the peace treaty with Israel.
Interesting, Tamarod is against Morsi MB and against Mubarak. What is it they want? They are fools if they abrogate the treaty with Israel - like they need that like a hole in the head, oh, I mean a gaping hole in the Aswan dam...
There are 14 millions reasons why:
The planet is experiencing contractions and more drugs are being pumped in to keep our minds and hearts away from what's going to be birthed.
They want to be the new Hamas .
It's about the power and money and they don't think Hamas is after Israel enough . These guys are even more dangerous as they are younger and more tech savvy and were the ones who gathered the crowds to oust Mubarak.
Mubarak has had a couple of strokes or something and is probably close to vegetative - he had to be wheeled into the Islamic kangaroo court - the only reason the islamists probably didn’t hang him is it would be obvious they were executing a living corpse
I don’t think he will be writing any books?
You mean, American Idol, Walmart Sales, Coke refills and MSM?
What is going to be birthed, a new era? The end? A new episode of the Young & Restless?
Yes; Egypt is a country with a single point of failure.
Was not that treaty honored though, by the Morsi government? They did not allow the Gaza arabs to breathe
One thing we have to credit the Egyptians... they can turn out a crowd!
Mubarak is a tough old bird.
In that court cage he looked like he was going to croak any minute. Then reports came that he is close to death, then an improvement, then close to death, then another improvement.
No, I think he is old and not well but he has enough time to give a nice speech about what he endured and who (BHO) did it to him...
Let’s hope he survives long enough to make mincemeat out of BHO...
You’d go to every gathering to if your daily schedule (like 80% of the Egyptian populace) was:
Wake up off ground sheet or rubble,
Wash face & hands in putrid water.
Sit on rubble floor, have a stale pita bread with cold “ful” beans and hummus.
Go out to outhouse, relieve self.
Go to fields, stack mudpies for 16 hours.
Water the goat.
Eat stale pita bread with ful and hummus.
Pick up kids from Islamic madras school in donkey cart.
Watch reruns of “Rawhide” or worse, Egyptian drama about Jews using Islamic kid’s blood for Passover.
Beat kids with stick to sleep.
Rape neighbor’s 12 year old girl.
Slap wife to go to sleep.
Read a portion of the Koran about Jihad before nighty-night.
Waiting for 60 minutes to interview him...yeah, right.
No, I think he is old and not well but he has enough time to give a nice speech about what he endured and who (BHO) did it to him...
and you think the US media will boardcast such a speech??
60 Minutes can’t do it for two reasons:
1) Mubarak would not agree
2) CBS is afraid of what he might say about their Prophet, Obama
fl
“60 Minutes cant do it for two reasons:
1) Mubarak would not agree
2) CBS is afraid of what he might say about their Prophet, Obama”
reverse the order, number 2 is the number one reason, by far even with the power of the edit room.
What is soon?
I don't know.
What I DO know is;
Just 60 or so years ago, an America that advertised on Saturday night TV that you should go to church tomorrow, and the stores were closed and Sunday was spent at home and life was pretty good.
I knew NO ONE without a job.
