Well, in order to be an apologist for something, that thing has to actually have happened. In this case, the only “hit” is a delusion you’ve dreamed up in your mind.

I was skeptical until I read his family was gathering for an intervention. In that context, his remark about going off the radar could mean he was not going to hang around.
I have seen tweakers up close & personal. There is nothing normal in their thought process. Several scenarios come to mind
-He saw the tree, didn’t give a shit and had no concept of car vs tree=certain death
-saw the tree & thought he could drive right over it.
Tweakers have no sense of reality. They are psychotic, amoral and there is no reasoning with one. No humanity at all. They can fool anyone of us, as the are master manipulators.

Nice reading comprehension. What part of "as though" didn't you understand, Mr. 'Official (Fairy-Tale) Report"'? And besides, we've already determined that Hastings car was an inexplicably unusual fireball as was his bullet-ridden vehicle AND cremated body DURING the strange crash. Never mind his inexplicable un-authorized cremation.
For those of us NOT covering the back-side of the "Official" narrative for some odd reason, we know definitively that Hastings' surveillance and obvious hit occurred because of his investigative journalism exposing YOUR overlords.
