San Antonio City Councilwoman District 9 Elisa Chan enters a briefing room for a press conference at City Hall, Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013. In a secret recording by former staff member James Stevens on May 21, Chan condemned homosexuality and described it as "disgusting". At the press conference, Chan reiterated her rights to free speech and personal opinions. "Political correctness will not win this dayÉ.I stand strong in my First Amendment right to Freedom of Speech," she said.

GetEQUAL Texas has issued a travel advisory for LGBT people considering visiting San Antonio.

“GetEQUAL TX alerts those traveling to San Antonio, Texas, of a continued risk of discrimination based upon sexual orientation and/or gender identity. The city of San Antonio does not currently protect lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender (“LGBT”) people from being legally ejected from their hotel rooms or other places of public accommodation,” the advisory states.

“Although city officials are attempting to correct the issue for LGBT travelers, hundreds have appeared on the streets in front of council demanding that such discrimination discontinue,” it said.

According to a news release, GetEQUAL Texas is a national grassroots social justice organization whose mission is to empower the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community and allies to take bold action to demand full legal and social equality, and to hold accountable those who stand in the way.

If the sodomites are issuing a travel warning for other sodomites to NOT go to San Antonio because of what a councilman said, can we get her to badmouth illegals too?

And now we bring you the gay travel advisory for Central Texas. Strong anti gay vibes have been recently experienced in San Antonio, which could lead to a funnel cloud and possible thunderous applause from the local population. We advise you change your travel plans to another destination until this system blows itself out.

It would be really good if SA became free of obnoxious homosexuals.

Take a tip from Ozzie - don’t whiz on it.

With this news, I’m tempted to put SA back on my travel destinations but won’t because of the mayor and his La Raza mommy.

Back in the day, Karam’s was great but it closed. Now, the Alamo Cafe is good.

FWIW, the airport is the best hands down. Drop your passenger of at the door and you’re outta there in two seconds flat. No traffic. In and out. Zip, zip. Check in is a breeze. Arriving back, you’re always early and still your baggage beats you.

I enjoy Arthur Bryant’s.

Arthur Bryant’s is good. Great BBQ. Been to two of their three locations.

A relative newcomer is Lidia’s, just north of Union Station. A little pricey, but very good. In years past there was a Mexican place on SW Blvd that was terrific. Can’t recall their name, don’t know if they are still there.

Years ago; decades (back in the middle Fifties), we used to go to the old Muehlebach for food, drinks and the live Jazz.
Those were the days.

I like San Antonio

We’ve enjoyed several of their open-air restaurants on the River Walk. Hope we get a chance to go back. It’s been close to twenty years.

You will be warmly welcomed here in the Alamo City. Even if we have a hard-core commie twinkie as mayor along with his twin brother who is a US Rep.

Warmly welcomed by the deviants who put them in office?

No thanks. I'll stay clear.

They’re not deviants. Just Mexicans. And like the blacks who vote for other blacks, they’ll vote for any other Mexican. Just because.

Just because.

Like I said, deviants. Evilly deviant. Knowing well what their vote means, but ignoring it.

RE They look so foolish when they take themselves so seriously..

Are there any special precautions we are supposed to take when we travel to an area without special LGBT protections?

Like, Is it dangerous to hit on other guys in public men-rooms in those Deadwood towns?

The safest thing to do is claim you are gay. How will they prove otherwise?

By your reaction when they stick a hand in your crotch?
