Alorah Gellerson loves her three-month-old son.
"He's a really good baby. He's always happy. He likes to eat," she said.
But what baby Carson eats has caused a lot of trouble for this 17-year-old mother.
When the baby didn't take to breastfeeding, Gellerson started feeding him homemade goat milk formula.
"Oh, he loved it," Gellerson said. "We put celery juice in it, and he just loves that, and it worked really well with his body, and he grew like a weed."
But when her doctor reported this to the Department of Health and Human Services, things got messy.
"She came in and threatened to take him away and put him in foster care until I complied to go to the doctor and get him seen."
Gellerson, who receives state benefits, says she has complied with all of the mandates from DHHS, including numerous doctor visits, an overnight hospital stay, and even switched over to store-bought formula to please them. But she says the state is still not dropping it.

We raised our now 26 year old daughter from the tender age of 48 hours on raw goats milk, many times warm right from the goat into the bottle. She was healthy as a horse and has beautiful skin, teeth and strong bones. Did not have ear infections. Her old time pediatrician had no problem with it.

Be not of two minds. Chances are she’s a very young, very dumb bunny, who hasn’t a clue why state benefits should not be falling on her like summer rain.
12 years, give or take, of public education. Then the defenseless bunnies do what bunnies do.
Thirty years from now she’ll be as wise as you and I. But she can’t be expected to know now what we know.
And her innocent baby is going to be paying the price as well.
The guilt belongs elsewhere.

Not if she spends the next thirty years on the Government dole she won't ....... hook 'em young, keep 'em on, they vote Democrat.
Can see that coming a mile away....
PurposeThe purpose of the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Competitive Grant program is to award Development Grants to States that currently have modest home visiting programs and want to build on existing efforts. Successful applicants will sufficiently demonstrate the capacity to expand or enhance their evidence-based home visiting programs. The funding provided will build on the formula funding already provided to States and territories to support the quality implementation of home visiting programs. Additionally, this funding opportunity will continue the program's emphasis on rigorous research by grounding the proposed work in relevant empirical literature, and by including requirements to evaluate work proposed under this grant.

I was on goat’s milk as a baby, couldn’t tolerate cow’s milk. My doctor was a newly discharged Navy doctor, he recommended it. Of course, the year was 1946 and government rarely poked into the business of private citizens in those days. My dad, also just home from the war, would have flipped out at something like this.
http://foodforkidshealth.com/can-babies-drink-goat-milk-instead-of-commercial-infant-formula/ The “Doctor” who reported her should be taken to the woodshed!
My mom fed my sister goat milk.
She survived without Federal Gubmint intervention just fine.
” Do you have any Dogs? “ ( seriously was asked this)
A: whats a dog?
Mom never was harassed....
Of course she was married..and paid for everything herself.
Q: Do you have any guns? A: No.
More subtle:
“Do you ever feel depressed, have any unexplained violent urges, ever felt like hurting yourself or those around you? Are you taking any antidepressants or psychtropic medications?”
“Oh, and do you happen to own any firearms?”
They don’t want thinking people in government programs. It’s pablum or nothing.
That baby should have been put up for adoption and the parents arrested.
This is nothing new. I found out later when I had kiddo’s records transferred that the doctor had written me up for questioning keeping junior on antibiotics for months on end. One question. I dropped the subject after her reaction. That was also the doctor who wouldn’t give their boosters without having the parents sign for welfare shots. Why she hasn’t had her license suspended or in jail is beyond me. Of course, the new doctor asked the kids if we had guns in the house, sigh...
How fast can she run six furlongs?
Democrat”Care” notwithstanding, Benghazi Barry told us that he thought the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child would be part of his agenda-—sounds good, until you realize the state would eventually have the right to raise the child NOT the parents.
Part of The Millenium Developement Goals.
A snip-” The Millenium Declaration also affirms the U.N. as “the indispensible COMMON HOUSE of the ENTIRE HUMAN FAMILY, through which we will soon realize our universal aspirations for peace, COOPERATION and developement.” (all caps emphasis mine.) From a DC Journal article, dated Feb 12, 2008, by Cliff Kincaid.
But, we all voted AGAINST the bastard because he was part negro, right? Sure.
BTW, we had private insurance.
Well, the mother is 17; so the dad probably doesn't have a job yet.
I voted against his white half.
