The Senates immigration bill would add nearly 14,000 new jobs on average in each congressional district over the next decade, according to a new report.
The new analysis is from the center-right American Action Network (AAN), which backs an overhaul of the nations immigration laws. Its being distributed to lawmakers offices as pro-reform groups seek to convince GOP congressmen to vote for immigration reform proposals this fall.
District-by-district data is available through this web tool. No district would see fewer than 7,000 jobs created by 2023, and an average of 13,992 new jobs would be created in each. The figures were compiled using data from a Regional Economic Models, Inc. (REMI) study of economic data and new worker visas and a Congressional Budget Office report on the impact of the Senate bill.
The figures could provide more cover for Republican House members who are considering backing reform. It could allow them to explain their position to skeptical constituents during August recess, when immigration has been a hot topic at town hall meetings.
Pro-reform conservatives have long framed immigration reform as a job-creation effort, dovetailing with the GOP message on jobs and the goals of party leaders to broaden that message to Latino voters.

AAN is Norm Coleman
He pushed for George W Bush’s amnesty very hard
The only jobs ObamaCare will create are government jobs. Well, maybe some low paying, part-time health care jobs (that used to be HIGH PAYING, FULL-TIME healthcare jobs). Will open up vast opportunities for fraud and corruption, though.
Once upon time we were told that Obamacare would reduce government liability and make insurance cheaper. Garbage in, garbage out.
Six million jobs in 10 years? I can see that. I just don’t think that their creation will be due to Shamesty.
AAN did not do any “study” they are pro-amnesty, they always have been. They are not non-partisan on this issue, never have been.
And Obama if your like your dr you can keep him..Same ones who said President Obama’s initial claim that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) would cost $940 billion and now it’s up to Over $2 Trillion
.Anything projected here in few years will never achieve its original goal..All I know is these jobs are nothing but wishful thinking
Makes just as much sense as this article.
Any idiot who believes this deserves the government they vote for. The rest of us will suffer for it though, which really stinks!
In other news, the chocolate ration is being increased from 20 grams to 30 grams.
I live in Nevada. I don’t think we even have 14,000 persons in some of our Congressional Districts-—right now.
In Clark County- the majority of those are illegals. Who else would vote for Harry Reid?
Now start adding the number of new kids that will come across the border or will be born to new immigrants. No one talks about the impact on are already hard pressed schools and their budgets. The RATS would think it was great because they would want to higher a million new teachers who all pay does the RAT party.
Very true
:”Pro-reform conservatives”
This is a brand new scam!
these are not conservatives, these are squishy moderates at best and these same people were pushing for amnesty under Bush, so they have an agenda
I know what they are. I just never heard them identified that way. It is contemptible!
They are NOT conservatives, of course. Reminds me of “Zimmerman being a “white hispanic” : )
After amnesty, just double the number of congressional districts. That would create even more jobs :)
LOL!!
