I've often heard talk (and participated in it) of the government having a "list" of people they are watching. I believe it's been going on for longer than I've been alive.
I did a search for my Freeper name and found a link that confirms (in my opinion) that I am on this list.

Many others from FreeRepublic are on this link also as it seems "they" are saying we are people who will fire on the government in certain instances.
I also received a letter from the IRS saying they have recalculated my taxes for 2010 and I now owe them money.
Just tell the IRS that if they want more money, go get it from Bammy's Sta$h.
I got that letter too.
It totally plundered my bank account and left me with a zero balance.
They probably wanted to ensure you did not have enough $ left to purchase ammo so you could take them out.
How do you find out? I went into that site and there was DUCKMAN all over the place. However I think the poster was writing about someone else.
I suspect just going to the list you are put on it if you are not already there. Some of the posts seem kinda fishy so it seems they are setting people up to make a post for themselves.

DU is a truly insane site. They claim all Freepers are anarchists, etc. Yet as I scrolled through the comments, they make statements like “Freepers should be doused with gallons of gasoline and ignited.” Nice liberal tolerance.
True, some Freepers make comments that are just a bad as Bill Ayers and his ilk. But at least we understand freedom and are concerned about the growing leviathan of government.

That’s exactly what it is. A fantasy. Just as they didn’t put up a fight when their right to peacefully assemble was taken, their right to privacy, their right to travel unimpeded, their right to a trial and so on. They sat and did nothing while their rights were stolen away, just as all of us have. They wont even protest let alone fight a gun battle.
The truth is, no one one either side of the isle cares. It’s all about getting fat and watching sports. All long as we have those things we don’t give a damn. Neither side will protest in mass.
