There is another side to Trayvon Martin’s death
Cross Roads News ^ | August 16, 2013 | Elrado Ramsay

There is no question that George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin. There is no question that things would have ended better if Zimmerman had heeded counsel from 911 personnel and restrained himself from following Martin into the bowels of the residential complex. There is no question that Zimmerman had juiced himself into fear and hysteria on the speculation that Martin was “on something” and was necessarily “up to no good,” but a bag of Skittles and a can of Arizona iced tea is hardly loot from a terminating burglary.

However, there is big contention about what happened when Zimmerman caught up with Martin. Martin was dead from a single gunshot wound, and Zimmerman had a bloody nose and a bashed head back when the melee was over.

Did Martin mouth off to Zimmerman and Zimmerman collar him? Did Martin respond to the contact by coming out swinging and taking Zimmerman down, a position from which Zimmerman believed he had to shoot to survive? Like so many things, we will never know the answer to these questions.

Of course, because of Stand Your Ground and the instructions to the jury – that if Zimmerman even believed that his own life was in danger he was fully authorized, under SYG, to take Martin out. One busted nose and a bashed in head back later, Martin is dead on the ground, and there was nothing the jury, the judge, the prosecutors, the governor or riled up, disgusted and frustrated middle-class people could do about it. Zimmerman could not be convicted of even illegal parking. This is the reality – racial patronage, platitudes, sentiments, appearances, and opinions be damned.

In fact, we know now why Zimmerman was not even arrested that squally night in April 2012, and less sentimental and platitudinous thinkers are also realizing that the trial was the saber-rattling product of a voyeuristic media yearning for the days of OJ, Rodney King and a racial judicial showdown that makes good main course for Court TV and riveting courtroom drama. Newspapers must sell, and the Nielsen ratings cannot wait until tomorrow.

Trayvon was not killed because Zimmerman hates black people. Fact is that Zimmerman is just as white as Barack Obama. Zimmerman cannot claim privileges for his whiteness anywhere in America. White people have made sure that you are not white in America until both your parents are born white. In fact there was a time when you were only three-fifths of a person if you were not white. Zimmerman would have been a three-fifther – hands down.

So, without a race-based murder or a hate crime, it could well have been self-defense. Where does that leave us?

It leaves us with context. The context that Zimmerman, like millions of other Americans, might have been terrified of a young black man he met up in the dark, even as he carried the responsibility of a neighborhood watchman to find out who Martin was and why he was in the complex. If you have ever been burglarized, you would want Trayvon Martin stopped and frisked, and you would not take kindly to Zimmerman’s cowardice.

Some have pointed out that Zimmerman profiled Trayvon, but that is not news. Everyone profiles young black men because if you do not, one could make you real dead. It is how you decide if you should call the police when a battery of them loiter in your neighborhood. It is how you determine if you should hustle to your car and get out of Dodge when one with menacing countenance, disorganized dreadlocks, and gravity-controlled trousers is friend or foe.

We are left with the context that neither was Trayvon a buttoned-down A student, or at 17 years was he free of all the prerequisite calling cards of young black men who are headed to their first armed robbery.

It has become clear that Trayvon’s parents were failing to sensitize him to the dead-end life of thugism, multiple school suspensions, ganja chic, pornography, gun-modeling rabble-rousing, racist diatribes and all the other stuff that the society depends on parents to stop and stop cold – no pun.

These two parents were failing Trayvon. That is a fact. Love and parenting do not end with hugs and facilitative visits. Those are important, but surely not the whole story of child raising. Every African-American knows Trayvon Martin before he committed his first serious felony. So, why do we pretend that in America, today, the die had not been cast for Zimmerman to have serious misgiving about Trayvon’s presence in the community – even withstanding the instructions from 911?

Do not forget that the backdrop to Zimmerman’s intensity was a rash of community burglaries, from which young black men were seen running away.

Do we chalk it up as bad luck if we go out to march for Trayvon Martin and come back home to find that young black men, like Trayvon Martin, have ransacked our homes looking for flat screens, jewelry, cash, and Xboxes?

Do we say “this is different,” if we go out and march for Trayvon Martin’s memory but are carjacked by young black men, like Trayvon Martin, as we pump gas?

The answer lies in getting real about the context of Trayvon Martin’s death.

There will be more Trayvon Martins as long as we continue to avoid these contexts.

You have to wade through a lot of misstatement before getting to this nugget of truth.

Yours is a good post.
This guy writes with black prejudice, he is trying hard to make things right in his own mind ,but cannot get past his prejudice.

Fact is a little sneak thief was killed in the act of assaulting a man.

Trying to call Zimmerman white is what stirred the racist angle in this whole affair. If Zimmerman had been black as the ace of spades (yeah I know) he would be praised as a hero for taking out the trash.

St. Tray shoulda called 911 on Zimmermann instead of talkin' to his "GF".

Tray shoulda been counting on the gov't to save him rather than taking the law unto himself.

Zimmerman was on his way back to his truck so it was the other way around.......He was the prey

That statement by the author E Ramsay is precisely why how they have been used and mis-informed must come out.

Subject: Re Reception report 2

Subject:The Dual Purpose for the “Targeting” of George Zimmerman

The truth and dual purpose behind the Zimmerman persecution .. The regime and the media set the premise for the trial narrative and their presentations ignoring the setting where the incident took place..An area having a “Neighborhood Watch”...The first was to gin up the base for purposes explained herein but there was another second agenda..

If some of those so called conservative talk show hosts had interviewed guests who run such watches and had the courage to fight PC and defend Zimmerman they would have exposed the regime and the media for the frauds they are. The few who are still “milking this” by accepting black callers. Fail to cite the simple facts outlined and documented here,. and to ask them what has Obama done for you? Then respectfully dismiss them as unfortunately being used and deliberately mis-informed..

Particularly a “gated” neighborhood watch. When you enter one of these and start wandering around no matter if you are white, blue, red, green, or black. You can be asked your purpose for being there. You are on private property. And yes those on patrol can and do leave their vehicle and follow on foot if they lose sight of the person they’re observing..That’s the Watch Captain’s who is really a security guard’s job.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3054721/posts

It’s the second time the President of the United States has interjected himself into a confrontation between those in authority on legal grounds reasonably questioned and released someone involved in a curious activity in a patrolled area. Could this attitude be based from the idealized communist concept that there is no such thing as “private” property because the state (collective) owns the land ? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3042477/posts and is the second purpose of selecting this episode to paint a target on Zimmerman’s back http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3054815/posts

In both cases those representing “authority” were reported as “white” . In the second case the person working security was attacked on private rights of way while on foot who discontinued an observation and was returing to his vehicle after being suggested by the police to do so. Legally he could have approached Saint Trayvon but didn’t..The hooded tall figure was allowed to continue on his way.unimpeded. But didn’t. That figure turned out to be a Martin Trayvon who doubled back and attacked the “neighborhood watch” worker as he was returing to his vehicle. Knocked him to the ground and began beating him severly. Saint Trayvon, the attacker, was subsequently killed in a struggle over the Neighborhood Watchman’s legal pistol.

In the second case both were dark skined.

The facts of this case are still being shamefully being concealed by the media to the extent they are advancing and are complicit in permitting a putrid injstice of the worst order, organized and instituted by our governent, to be committed .While denied. It began as a miscalculation when a surname of a Jewish origin shot up and lighted the heavens like a star shell in the darkest of nights. It would have been difused if the media used pictures of both side by side because they look like cousins. And the area where this occured of paycheck to paycheck struggling homeowners of all races trying to protect themselves had been reported and not some ritzy all white enclave.they portrayed..Worse yet the media is still pilling it on with ABC editing a a black jury members (remember when they were all white)t remarks to make it sound like she accused Zimmerman of murder .

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3048225/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3048631/posts

The result as we have seen is that another marxist axiom (division) has been implemented which has resulted with gangs of black youths murdering happless whites and “hispanics” who happen into areas usually where a black population is the majority. Those media outlets who by their delberate misuse of the instrument of the 1st amendment are just as complicit in those deaths as the regime is. They had the duty but not the obligation to verify and report factually but instead quoted the reports from various “mainlining” socialist media sources: Some examples here all of which serve the first purpose of selecting Zimmerman as the target.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3050362/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3051180/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3053410/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3054544/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3051488/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3053620/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3053643/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3053332/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3051525/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3051108/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3050590/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3049789/posts

The Secondary Purpose

Using propaganda from the party that hypenated itself from God at their 2012 convention into demo-coms, and believe that all groups should be hyphenated , Afro-American, Hispanic-American, etc..Decided Zimmerman to be the egg that is to be broken,. sacrificed, so that we have an omlet..

Just like Stalin did to the Ukrainian land owners known as Kulacks whom he executed, (and used that egg example) in a soclal engineering plan to organize collectives during a Russian drought..Because as we have learned there seems to be the intention to use a collective data base to create collectives.where a utopia of uniforimity of conformity exists. As was done in Detroit, and Oakland California.only this time a poor whitey or blacky won’t be able to move. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3053314/posts.

Just as with the energy plan where the cost of fuel used for energy and transportation and that includes raising the price of transporting gas and oil by rail, that favors a key contributer (Buffett) while the regime has been recently ridiculing the impact the completion of a pipeline, has skyrocketed those costs. Placing many on fixed or limited incomes dependent on government handouts. Resulting from this regimes socialist policies which go blameless. Now call for the sacrifice of Zimmerman who must die for another communist plan.. We all move together in centers designed and approved by comrades running the collective who (just like Obamacare aren’t in it) won’t ever live there.

What could the first purpose be ?

What better way to cover up Bengahzi, Fast and furious, IRS, Wind and Solar panel gate, NSA spying on US, Over-riding the constittution? Don’t look into who accompaines Obama on his many trips around the world at taxpayer expence ? Were they the heavy hitters or their friends holding the president’s hand isn’t that pay back at US taxpayer expence?. Isn’t that an impeachable offense ??

Now if somebody even suggests impeachment. Get to your black base voters, whom you’ve done nothing for,.all worked up. Pick on some security guard who’s doing his job. Accuse him of being racist ,even though he is part black..But his last name sounds “jewish.”Who’s doing surveilance in an mixed race area of modest means a where there’s been robberies and burgalries by young blacks. Now call that surveilance stalking, the area he’s patrolling owned by rich whities, and the guard of course he’s white. That person he’s watching a 10 year old black kid and a saint ,not six foot two 165 pound 16 year old, who gets killed fighting over a gun. . Now put a target on the security guards back .Ain’t that neat ? What better way to discourage any investigation into malfeasance and corruption by organizing the base for riots in the streets ? Think it’s too far fetched ? Think it’s not working ? Look again http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3051558/posts

To date the political opposition has yet to mention or comment on this example of how this regime operates. It’s time to ask them why

So you missed his comment about the “Arizona ice tea”. (When in reality, TM was carrying Arizona Watermelon Fruit Juice Cocktail.)

If someone is going to write an article, they should at least research the facts about the topic.

Court documents would’ve sufficed, in this case.

Otherwise, good article.

"Fact is a little sneak thief was killed in the act of assaulting a man."

St. Tray and his GF were acting in vigilante fashion. They should have contacted the police to halt Zimmermann's profiling and stalking rather than taking the Law into their own hands to punish Zimmermann for surveilling St. Tray.

Comments?

When the first paragraph is so full of weighted suppositions about what happened that night, I see no need to read the entire article. The author is strongly biased.

Chances are, Zimmerman would still have been found not guilty without the Stand Your Ground law. All that law does is to try to specify what a self-defense situation is. However, a self-defense situation does not need to be spelled out in law for a jury to recognize when a defendant has exercised his right to defend himself.

Had Trayvon been raised in a culture that censures physically attacking people, he would still be alive today, regardless of Zimmerman's actions.

Watermelon is an inconvenient fact in the case and needed to be suppressed to avoid any stereotyping charge that could be made against the author(s) of straw-man scenarios.

The skittles and watermelon iced tea are important as were the “blunts” Trayvon obtained via a straw purchase at the same store as he was underage and unable to make the purchase. The clerk had refused to sell them to him. All purchases were related to drug use.

"Chances are, Zimmerman would still have been found not guilty without the Stand Your Ground law."

The SYG law was NOT used by the defense. It was not even brought into consideration. The verdict was a straight "self-defense where retreat is impossible and life is in danger" situation. Zimmerman probably would have been exonerated even the most rabidly liberal states.

But your last paragraph is right on......the problem is the poisonous urban black "hood" culture.

“In fact there was a time when you were only three-fifths of a person if you were not white.”

Misquote used to gin up anger... “For purposes of apportionment....”

Slaves were included in census counts which affected congressional apportionment. This provision was meant to limit the congressional representation to southern states based on counts of those non-voting slaves. It has nothing to do with whether or not you were a person.

Many moons ago, I was the almost victim of a carjacking — before that word was invented. When I went to the main post office in this bad section of town to mail my father's business bills, I always carried my M1911A1. On the way home I went through a rather seedy section with about three blocks that were infested with bars, lowlifes, and hooker. It was a hot July or August night and I drove through with windows up and doors locked. i caught a stoplight on the street I needed to turn onto to get home.

I stopped for the light. The next thing I knew there was a black guy in his 20’s or early 30’s trying to open the locked driver's door. Mt right hand pulled the .45 from behind my back, thumbed the hammer back, and I presented it to the hood's face. His eyes became like saucers and his mouth flopped open. He then did the fastest 180 degree turn on record, bounded across both lanes of traffic in what seemed three steps, and disappeared into a bar. The light turned green, I urned left, went over the bridge, and headed home.

Thinking back on it, the poor sod must’ve had to change his shorts — after he stopped shaking. I was glad I didn't uncork that .45 inside the car because besides the broken driver's door window, I'd probably have ruptured my eardrums from the muzzle blast from the pistol.

"I stopped for the light."

That was back when the laws counted.

These days with Bammy organizing us, the laws are irrelevant. In some parts of town, stopping for the light has not been the proper behavior for decades.

“White people have made sure that you are not white in America until both your parents are born white.”

It could have been, with the exception of this telling statement. The author makes it quite clear, that the root of the problem is Caucasion. Worse still, this reader can find no acknowledgment, or admission by the author, of any improvement on the part of that side of the equation.

Yes, owning your own responsibility in any problem is an important step, but, if you explain it, by stating that it occurred because the deck IS stacked against you, then you have not honestly owned it.

May God help us.

And this is a sentence? It makes no sense at all.
"Of course, because of Stand Your Ground and the instructions to the jury – that if Zimmerman even believed that his own life was in danger he was fully authorized, under SYG, to take Martin out."
Very poor writing.
