A Tennessee elementary school banned students from eating ham sandwiches, BLTs and anything else made with pork, but eventually lifted the ban after parents complained.
Third grade teachers at Sunset Elementary School in Brentwood, Tenn. sent home an Approved Snack List for the school year and it specifically banned anything that comes from a pig.snacklist
No meats containing pork, read the memorandum. Starting Monday, August 12, 2013 your child must provide their own snack from the above approved snack list.
Kids could nosh on raw vegetables without dips or sauces, fresh fruit, crackers, pretzels, and popcorn but no ribs or pork rinds.
Only choose a food from the following list to bring into school for snack, the memorandum stated in bold-face type. No other food items are permitted.

They can pry the Slim Jims from my .........
This does get me wondering if they have socialized snacks where the food is redistributed among the kids. "OK kids put your snack into the surprise box and then the teacher will give one to each of the kids according to his needs." And Fat Jim will get the carrot sticks no matter what he brought in.
why do schools even think they have the right to choose what BRANDS of food that kids can eat....NAZIS!
Government (public) school is child abuse.
LOL
This might explain some of it. http://www.iec-md.org/IECE/religious/consumer_food_products_3.html
Religious Consumer Food Products Halaal Status
but pork is so versatile....
it adds so much to sausage, and sausage is what makes Italian food special...
and German food...
and Polish food...
etc etc etc.....
Seems to me to be some sort of experiment/exercize in social control.
Our teaching system has become the model of the socialist “need above right” movement.
My grand daughters’ lists for ‘school supplies’ were rife with cornucopia excess both in the type and amount of items needed. Somebody please tell my why one of my grand daughters in Kindergarten, 2nd grade or 4th grade needs ONE HUNDRED TWENTY Ticonderoga Number 2 pencils? Or why they need a dozen boxes of 24 or 36 Color Crayolas? Or why they need triple, quadruple, etc. the amount of the other stuff?
It is because these socialist/Democrat teachers are taking the excess away from the white children and GIVING it to the Mexicans and blacks in the classroom. That’s why.
It sure ain't because some kids keep kosher.
The letter states the restrictions are due to allergy concerns (a stupid concession of its own), but Ive never heard of a person with a pork allergy.
There is a child at my Granddaughters Grade School that has a peanut allergy. It’s a real pain for everyone else as nothing made with peanut butter or Peanut oil is permitted in the school. I asked the parent of the kid and she was up-front about it. The kid is so allergic to peanut products of any kind that he carries an epi-pen all of the time and they can’t go out to eat at most restaurants, etc.
I kind of felt sorry for them but the kid is a real upbeat kind of little guy.
I also had a relative that had a shellfish allergy... She was a real Pain-in-the-butt to go out to dinner with. Always lecturing the wait staff and management about keeping cooking utensils and pots and pans separate so that people like her don’t get hit with an allergic reaction.
Now as far as being allergic to pork? That’s a new one for me. Religious objections, yeah. A real allergy... no.
They never did this for the Jewish kids, only for the Muslims. My kids would go with whatever I decide they will eat.
Mazel tov Y’all
They will confiscate it.
There are also online lists of food products for clean and unclean foods at http://www.theisraelofgodrc.com/OtherPage.html Lots of links for information there.
Liberals desire only ONE thing: Control of others above all else. They want to control your heart, you mind and your wealth because only they know best. Most teachers have become brainwashed into this by their teaching certificate institutions and later, their Unions.
These lists of mandatory school supplies seem to become more lengthy and more anal-retentive every year. You wonder if the schools districts have made deals with certain brands to promote their products for a kickback.
