The fire was started about 2:15 a.m. at the corner of 23rd Avenue and East Union Street in Seattle's Central District.

Note to readers unfamiliar with Seattle.... the Central District is known as being a "minority/black neighborhood" in large measure, although I don't know the race of the restaurant owner.

Only 15% or so black as of 2010. Anecdotally, I have heard that even a small number of blacks increases crime and causes problems in public schools, which is why non-black flight is a recurring phenom. Nobody wants to wait until the area becomes a shooting gallery, and home prices have plunged 50% or more.
