Of course, it was self-defense, but not by George Zimmerman.
Let's forget blackness, racism, neighborhood watches and location for a moment and simplify the story.
Let's say a person spots someone he has a perceived beef with; maybe this person doesn't like the way the other guy looks, or the way the other guy looked at someone else, or doesn't want him around his neighborhood, or this person is just out for trouble. Now this person follows the other guy slowly in his car for a while, ultimately getting out and confronting him. Maybe he even pushes the other guy or brandishes a weapon. The other guy is quite scared; he responds by trying to do what most of us would do, defend himself. Maybe this stalked guy is lucky in the skirmish and actually gets on top of this person for a time; that is, until the stalker pulls out his gun and shoots and kills the other guy.
Yes, this is a classic case of self-defense or, should I say, attempted self-defense, but not by George Zimmerman. It was by the other guy, who was just minding his own business, Trayvon Martin. In New York, we would call this chain of intentional actions murder.

Why are people still writing about this case without having learned any of the facts?
Second class sore losers are entitled to know a few facts, but first class sore losers are required by law to know nothing, or at least, nothing that coincides with reality. That's just the way sore loser-ism works.

1) In legal terms, self-defense is an affirmative defense to a charge of homicide (or battery). A homicide victim cannot assert self-defense, because they aren't being charged with a crime. It's moot.
2) Everyone has a right to self-defense.

Who is the charged with murder? Who had a right to self-defense? Was Justice done? Who the hell cares? It's moot.

Zimmerman spotted someone who looked suspicious. He happened to be % correct. Trayvon was a drug dealer and was caught with stolen jewelry at school.

Let us note that Mr Zimmerman had no way of knowing a) that Mr Martin was only 17; b) that Mr Martin was unarmed; c) that Mr Martin was staying as a guest with a resident. Thus 3 elements of the anti-Zimmerman arguments are invalidated.
What is amazing to me about this as I peruse these postings is just how deep the control of the media by the regime on the general population reaches;
Essentially here is what actually happened

It’s the second time the President of the United States has interjected himself into a confrontation between those in authority on legal grounds reasonably questioned and released someone involved in a curious activity in a patrolled area. Could this attitude be based from the idealized communist concept that there is no such thing as “private” property because the state (collective) owns the land ? .
In both cases those representing “authority” were reported as “white” . In the second case the person working security was attacked while on private rights of way while on foot discontinued an observation and was returing to his vehicle after being instructed by the police to do so.
Legally he could have approached Saint Trayvon but didn’t. Trayvon was allowed to continue on his way unimpeded. But didn’t. Trayvon doubled back and attacked the “neighborhood watch” worker as he was returing to his vehicle. Knocked him to the ground and began beating him severly. Saint Trayvon the attacker was subsequently killed in a struggle over the Neighborhood Watchman’s legal pistol.
While denied. It began as a miscalculation when a surname of a Jewish origin shot up and lighted the heavens like a star shell in the darkest of nights. It would have been difused if the media used pictures of both side by side because they look like cousins. Examined the area where this occured of paycheck to paycheck struggling homeowners of all races trying to protect themselves .But instead reported it was some ritzy all white enclave
Or killed the attempt to politicize it if our PC bound so called conservative talk shows brought the facts out defended Zimmerman,and interviewed those involved in such prgrams. Instead of playing with this for ratings.
Worse yet the media is still pilling it on with ABC editing a a black jury members (remember when they were all white)t remarks to make it sound like she accused Zimmerman of murder .

What better way to cover up Bengahzi, Fast and furious, IRS, Wind and Solar panel gate, NSA spying on US, Over-riding the constittution? Don’t look into who accompaines Obama on his many trips around the world at taxpayer expence ? Were they the heavy hitters or their friends holding the president’s hand ? Never looked into either by the House and certainly not even speculated about or reported on by the media. Seems like that could be considered pay back at US taxpayer expence. Now if somebody even suggests impeachment.. Pick on some security guard accuse him of being racist ,even though he is part black, but his last name sounds “jewish.”Who’s doing surveilance in an mixed race area of modest means a where there’s been robberies and burgalries by young blacks. Now call that surveilance, stalking, the area he’s patrolling owned by rich whities,and the guard of course white . Make that person he’s watching a 10 year old black kid and a saint ,not six foot two 165 pound 16 year old, who gets killed fighting over a gun. . Now put a target on the security guards back .Ain’t that neat ! What better way to discourage any investigation into malfeasance and corruption by organizing the base for riots in the streets ?
But that was the purpose of painting a target on Zimmermans back. Plus advance a socialist re-settlement program. But the Republican GOPES {gop elite snob(s)} and RINOS as well as conservatives have yet to speak out on any of this . The GOPES can’t even use the word socialist.

The victim in this case was always Zimmerman. The only reason their was an arrest and trial was because of race politics.
Put it to bed people, its over, Zimmerman was found NOT GUILTY, repeat NOT GUILTY. Need an explanation of what that means?
According to my cop friends a first call to the police is freqently the perp particularly in domestic disputes.
Funny how the writer left out the part where Zimmerman calls the police...
